My greatest fear as a bitcoin holder is that when time comes that bitcoin will have no value. The time where all other crypto become a frozen asset and becomes a loss.

If it's linked to government, I'm not too worried about that.. I'm sure the most governments would be still allowing to selling bitcoin to local currency for so on.

The most feared is the hackers for me, surely they will trying to spread some more powerful new viruses that will spreading in cyberspace (internet) trying to infect the wallets. Bitcoin price is increasingly peaking until now, of course this is could be a major target for hackers. So be careful to all, I just suggest don't forget to installing antivirus on computer and use wallet address that's really very reliable.

1, the government will ban.
2, hacker
3, can not practical application
The government ban and the scenes that I can not use make me worry even more

These two are also my greatest fear as a BTC holder

All Government will ban BTC or crypto and of course getting hacked.

Also as a trader one of my greatest fear is when Bitcoin is actually a bubble and Bitcoin price crash.

"Hacking and scams remain the top risk for Bitcoin holders. Exchanges that shut down or passwords stolen from devices can easily wipe out a person’s bitcoins. Moreover, governments and central banks from various countries are starting to impose limitations on the use of cryptocurrencies.

Digital coins clearly threaten the political and economic establishment, and the regulatory environment can quickly change with the stroke of a legislative pen. Banks and governments typically use familiar language in the media, such as the need to protect consumers from new risks.

We are hearing familiar talking points from politicians who are getting pressured from the banking lobby. It seems that the root cause of the status quo’s actions in 2017 is to protect fiat currencies and traditional financial interests. Competing digital coins represent a potential end to the government’s monopoly of the monetary system." - Bitcoin.com

What are the top risks for Bitcoin holders?

I scare most about bitcoin when it convert to money, will convert or not. Also price of bitcoin going high day by day, what happen if it drops. And if bitcoin banned by government is also the risk with bitcoin.

The World's Most Secure Cash & Crypto Platform
The are a lot of fears being Bitcoin holder like everyone who owned valuable things.
When a country banned Bitcoin and make it illegal then citizens will be charged for a crime using Bitcoin but the only greatest fear is when Bitcoin will no longer holds value. People would freak out and when Bitcoin dropped into zero value the Crypto-Currency world would be shaken through news and media.

Hacking is my biggest fear. If Bitcoin dumps it has the capacity to redeem itself, but when hacked, your coins are gone forever.

My fear in holding bitcoins is that, when I am hodling in my wallet. I feel that the bitcoins I am hodling will be missing because the wallet I am having has many bad reviews. But it is the reliable wallet here.
So you fear when you're hodling to your wallet you need to spend atleast 50% of hold bitcoin will save. if you fear lose price of your bitcoin to maintain or increase the price.

Thinking on the higher plane of existence.
To my mind, the greatest fear of any Bitcoin holder is to be hacked. Another stuff that scares all of these guys is the possibility to make a mistake and sell Bitcoin, when the next day it will rise to the Moon.
All the replies mostly are about losing bitcoins or getting their wallets hacked.Makes me sad.Have you ever thought about this ?

- What if government bans the use of bitcoins ?
- What if the github repo of the bitcoin source code gets deleted ?
-  What if government arrests the core developers and freezes the bitcoin project ?
- In several countries bitcoin is still in the process of adoption and not all nation are at that point
-Im pretty sure that they have back up files, its a must in every project.
-Why do government arrest them? For what sin and case

My number one fear as a Bitcoin holder is hacking. Digital currency and digital wallet are so prone to hacking. If you are not careful enough, your wallet may be hacked. Scams are widespread in the world of digital currency. They will do whatever they can just to steal all of our Bitcoins. Next to that is Bitcoin may end someday. Holders of big amount of Bitcoin will experience depression if that happens.

The only thing that scares me with my bitcoins is when it becomes impossible to cash out meanwhile nobody (merchants) accepts bitcoin as payment. But I doubt it would happen because the silk road will always be there to accept bitcoins.
Everyone fears this, This is a nightmare waiting to happen.
However, I wish it doesn`t happen and my heart tells me it will.
Because, bitcoin is top priority in her life right now.

I have heard many people hacked bitcoin accounts. That is really dangerous. I am also worried about this issue. There is only a link to authentic phones, that's how I'm doing. But I'm worried about losing a phone number one day ...
