I doubt crypto will shine within the next 2-3 years, we will be stuck in this place until most of the problems that revolve around adoption and price stabilization are solved.

will Ripple become the new Bitcoin?
This seems to be impossible, it has replace ETH in the spot but replacing bitcoin is too big as a prediction. Besides, Ripple is not decentralized, it's not the real idea behind the success of crypto now, so I think it will go back behind ETH.

if I think that the upcoming news will come true in 2019, it is very possible that the forecast price of Bitcoin will return to soar higher.
I'm not sure you really chose Ripple to replace the position of bitcoin in the first position of cryptocurrency. I guess in the cryptocurrency market there are still ETH, BCH and BCHSV which are at least still like to be juxtaposed with bitcoin.
All we know Ripple is centralized coin and differently from other altcoins that have a decentralized system similar to bitcoin.
Regarding the bull run on cryptocurrency in 2019, it's indeed still a lot of opportunities, especially from some institutions that are devising to regulate bitcoin, this is pointed out bull run it could happen, there is still hope.

For me it's not really a prediction but a "hope". I hope that more people should adapt into cryptocurrency and Blockchain, The more people using crypto, the more chances of crypto to bullish.

We all wish for this to happen,but predicting it will,wouldn't make it happen.
The market in my opinion still has a long recovery process to go through before the bull(10k)
Many products being released and we will start to see some use cases, at the same time we will see projects who mismanaged their funds drop out.
I don’t think Ripple will become new bitcoin. Two of them are so different, one is centralized cryptocurrency , and another one is decentralized cryptocurrency , there are not much similarity. I think bitcoin has still long way to go, it is still in progress and it will stay the number one in 2019.

The Bitcoin price will recover quickly, if the SEC approve the Bakkt ETF and if it is denied, then the price will drop a little bit more. There are a lot of people building their hope on the approval of the ETF and the possibility that the institutional capital will boost the Bitcoin price.
The question is, do we want institutional investment to take control over the future of Bitcoin? I think natural adoption and growth is much better than institutional capital being used to wreck this experiment.

Ripple will not be a new bitcoin. It is different from other crypto. It is a centralized coin. I am not saying that all the centralized products are not good, but crypto itself is contrary to centralized.
If Ripple will rise when the Bulls come again, there is no doubt about this, but the fundamental reason for Ripple's rise is due to the prosperity of the entire crypto market, to be exact, it is thanks to the development of Bitcoin, not Ripple itself.

It is likely that the most dominant crypto will have some form of government control. It may not exist and it has not been publicly released.
I dont have any predictions because it might disapoint me if my predictions didnt happen, anyway Im still hoping for a good price bump next year but no matter what happen I will still hold my BTC and ETH.
I think this depends on if the market cap continues to decline. I would say a lot of projects and weak hands have been shaken out however, there is still a lot of shitcoins still going and people will still try pumping them for quick profits. If there is further decline, for example Bitcoin going to $1500, I would see this a s being a 'purge' and would leave mostly only strong, valuable projects within the crypto space

And I don't know why people always trying to find new Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the thes first cryptocurrency, flagship of crypto with biggest adoption and popularity. I can't imagine any of current cryptocurrencies surpassing it. Maybe in future new more modern cryptocurrencies with big technical advantage against Bitcoin will surpass it, but it wont be Ripple.

My predictions would be that bitcoin would surpass the highest price it has ever reached and go beyond 30k dollars I no many with have there doubt but no one saw it coming the last time and 2019 would be the year bitcoin goes to the moon
Oh, I would like to get so much optimism from you, because I don't believe that 2019 in crypto markets can be so bright. But I hope that your predictions will turn into reality 
Bitcoin is unique, and it has taken 10 years for it to get to its current position. Nothing will be able to replace it unless, the deep state manages to acquire all of the coins. Even then, I suspect they will use it to trade amongst themselves, and this will benefit the minnows who have managed to keep some of their coins. Of course there will be/are alternatives. But these will only be successful if they have efficient and useful functions.
The interesting investments won't be Bitcoin - that is a no-brainer wealth preservation option, but in choosing the coins that will be adopted for these specific uses. One interesting area is payment services for the un-banked.

Cryptocurrency for 2019 is good but this post OP should not be here because it talks about speculations of crypto market price in the near future. I bet you have made a mistake posting this kind of post in this section. Anyway, I have my answer already that cryptocurrency would be good because if not then cryptocurrency will be gone to ending already.
