Shutting down all US nodes (if it was possible) would not stop Nxt network at all.
(1) BTC - still dominant, could change within 6 months
........... - you will never see velocity or $10,000, but it's a core holding like gold
(2) LTC - scrypt far from dead, 2nd most secure coin, better value than BTC
........... - it's about security, security, security, stupid... could double any time
(3) NXT - dodgy or not, this will fly, *** hit "simplicity sweet spot" dead on ***
.......... - any small businessman can master NXT and launch an IPO in weeks
........... - despite being effectively controlled by ONE PERSON, NXT Asset Exchange is taking off
.......... - all other Gen 2.0 are either useless (XCP) or too complex for non-engineers (XRP)

I'd say that Doge coin has pretty interesting cap today and the graphs show that it's going to grow up and up
IMO, NXT is quite good altcoin too. I like Nxt Forum - looks like Bitcointalk but with other forum sections
