Litecoin is the only alt coin that have real usage as medium of exchange, many exchange trade it, and many wallet available.

That's true. Only Litecoin have ability to use as cash or silver or you name it. Others only use as pump&dump and let it die, then create another clone copycat coin, pump&dump and let it die, and cycle goes on like that.

Take a look at Magicoin, just launched, price is low, importantly Dev is serious. www.CryptoMagic.com. If a coin's dev can keep doing for years long, coin price will go up definitely. You can mine too.

DRK is much better in the Black vs Dark coin care.The names have similar meanings though.

Litecoin is the first coin with different algorithm. Other altcoins are just bad clones. Litecoin is supposed to replace silver, as Bitcoin replaces gold. It definitely has value.
Not true. The first altcoin to introduce scrypt was Tenebrix.What you call "algorithm" is called: blockheader hashing function (bitcoin and it's clones use hashing functions for other purposes as well). All other hashing functions being used by Litecoin are the same as in Bitcoin.
LItecoin is nothing more than Bitcoin #9.

PPS. IMO invest in BTC and in coins which brought something new: PPC, NXT, maybe Exo, watch for them.

I see most of the coins are dead. So, why still invest altcoins? Hold your BTC and try to raise them.
Any thoughts on WhiteCoin?
Only Altcoin I would hold is Dogecoin. Stick to BTC.
