I don't use any wallets (I never make a Bitcoin purchase through my smartphone anyway), but I use this regularly:

That keeps me updated about prices of the coins I hold.

Other than that I use a couple of apps that let me place buy/sell order for alt-coins on exchanges like Cryptsy and HitBTC.
Based on the exchanges you use to trade, you can search similar apps.

Thank you, will check out blockcain. I hope it is stand alone wallet. I would like to have funds on my device and not 'somewhere out there' :-). Although i only have a little change, but anyway....
