dogecoin - once you will decide to implement, just post about it to their reddit section.
dash - personal choice, I like the dash and people around

+1 I think that's a really good suggestion with what you're selling.

You could also integrate shapeshift.io's shifty button in order to accept several alts and have them auto-converted to bitcoin.

Best of luck.  Smiley

I think the only solid choice is bitcoin really. If we just stop wasting our time and efforts on different coins and instead focus everything on bitcoin alone, bitcoin would rule right now. Instead we are divided and everyone want to share a cake for himself.

But just because there's other coins doesn't mean any meaningful attention is being zapped from Bitcoin. Bitcoin currently does rule right now. Bitcoin's market cap is 3.4 billion dollars, the next closest is Ripple at 182 million dollars, then  Litecoin at 128 million. Every other coin combined after that wouldn't even get you another 100 million dollars. So you're looking at Bitcoin with 90+ percent of the crypto market cap, and the other 634 currencies (at current count) combined at less than 10 percent. No real Bitcoin potential is being lost with competing currencies.

Only asking so I can get it on coinpayments.net so I can sell hot sauce for crypto again. if youre interested please go to https://www.pexpeppers.com but Bitcoin is obviously a must, what other coins do you think I should accept?

And if it will be Bitcoin XT the surprise of everything? Be this coin the new king of the other cryptocurrencies? Or even the actual bitcoin? Maybe you must wait a while.... Or have the attention even on this product....

To be honest, after litecoin, there wasn't really a need for any other altcoins. 95% of them are pure garbage, and the very few that serve any kind of function are just derivative of bitcoin anyway. DASH at least provided a novel idea in the form of how anonymity is protected, but with few exceptions, every alt is just spam at this point.

I think you should accept none, besides bitcoin.

What makes any alt coin so special, unless they been promoted in some casino being accepted: eg: clam like justdice.

That's correct I think. Every other coin except bitcoin have no difference from each other. Some are used a less more and others some more. But all those are correlated with bitcoin. Follow bitcoin and have much less value compared to it. So if you ad bitcoin you have added every of those. There is not particularity among those which can make one of those so special to have the right to be differentiated from the others.

I personally think Ripple could really take off at some point, it's one of few altcoins that could still survive even if Bitcoin suddenly crashed to 1 sat. Other than that I think any coin that manages to survive for at least a year (without any drama) while maintaining a decent market presence is worth a closer inspection.

Some no name fiat currency has no purpose.

Quote from: Merriam-Webster, Inc.; “Legal Tender”
:  money that is legally valid for the payment of debts and that must be accepted for that purpose when offered

National governments derive money from debt and, therefor, demand the legislative power to manufacture legal tender law. However, the imperial government could venture the deprivation thereof through an appeal, alternative “in hand,” to its superior governments.

The last thing you want to do is accept payment in a coin that crashes before you have a chance to exchange it for Bitcoin or fiat.

Your statement implies that cryptographic currencies are never fiat currencies; however, the cryptographic monetary units of Writcoin™ receive public “Great Empire Coin (GEC)” certification and, thus, are fiat currency.

Lol, but a fiat currency's only strenght is network effect. Namely, the dollar is accepted everywhere not because it's the ultimate awesome form of money, but because it's simply historically famous. Some no name fiat currency has no purpose.

Thanks JackRipper.

Will look into Doge and Litecoin.

Its amazing how many options are out there - agree to be very cautious as many appear to be fly by nights.

Bitcoin reigns supreme.

This will most likely continue for the foreseeable future, so I wouldn't mess around with potentially unstable or even more volatility with any altcoins. The world hasn't learned to understand what Bitcoin is, so a cryptocurrency-based future full of many, many different coins is either science fiction or too far off to be worth planning for.
Maybe for a specific purpose, like domain names with Namecoin. That's about the only worthy exception I would consider.

Bitcoin is an absolute must, of course. You might also want to consider Doge (their community is fantastic) and Litecoin. Another possibility would be DASH. Of all the "Dark" coins, it is the user friendly and widely held.

Before you decide however, check to ensure that the coins you choose are relatively stable. The last thing you want to do is accept payment in a coin that crashes before you have a chance to exchange it for Bitcoin or fiat.

Bitcoin. Full stop. No need to meddle with anything else. Any other coin that makes good technology gains can be adopted by Bitcoin, which is the one and only.

I agree, Bitcoin is the Gold of cryptos, but some technology can't be implemented in Bitcoin, like Monero's ring signatures.

they can but in a different way, like zerocoin, or darkweb wallet, i don't know if they will be implemented as a fork(i doubt it) or sidechain(if blockstream will succeed) or again if those two will just be indipendent new altcoin, and not related to bitcoin

As far as I know Zerocoin and I think you meant Darkwallet will be integrated within Bitcoin and aren't separate altcoins, but I've heard they aren't as anonymous as Monero even tho is way better than what we have now.
I remember hearing something about Zerocoin that I didn't like, which involved trust in someone destroying a masterkey that would have access to the money supply or something nasty along the lines..
