I don't think the people in my area know about bitcoin at all, I recall someone being on localbitcoins from my country and I was relatively in disbelief he/she knows about bitcoins, I think that would be his opinion too.
The most people in my circle do not even know the bitcoin, so its difficult to say, the small people that are knowing it are saying they like it and it has a good future.
They people I know and are knowing are mostly thinking the same as me, that the bitcoin will go to a high amount soon or later.

Most people I know have heard about Bitcoin but none of them have expressed any interest in it because they think Bitcoin is dangerous. They respond with uhum to every thing I say.
it was the same as my expression when I did not know bitcoin deeper. believe me they give expression like that. Because they do not know the special of bitcoin. if they are already familiar with bitcoin. I'm sure they would be very interested in the system and innovation of bitcoin
I'm from The Netherlands and most people around me think they are too late to join the party and that all the gains have been made already.
Next, they keep asking me how it is doing when the price was dropping down from 1200, and after that they never mention it anymore.

I think I posted in this thread a while back about telling a coworker about bitcoin and the signature campaign stuff, etc. Well he fucking got fired, and now there's really no one to tell about this crazy bitcoin world that exists--much less about altcoins. It's too bad, he would have made a great bitcoin scammer. LOL

In my environment the ones who are open to new things and techsavy are listening carefully when i tell them about bitcoin, but not yet investing.
Others don't want anything to do with it.
In here, they just go yeah-yeah-bla-bla libertarian money yeah. It's their loss, I don't mind.
I'm from the United States. First heard about Bitcoin in 2011 on a podcast. Thought it was absolutely fascinating and have been hooked ever since. I love the freedom and financial protection to people it offers to people who truly need it. I've never experienced shoe leather inflation or devaluation or entire denominations of money being taken out of circulation, but Bitcoin helps protect against those who need protection.

Yeah, people who are smart and have good vision and good knowledge of technology will always view bitcoin as a positive, but there are few bunch of people who will always hesitate in investing their money in bitcoins.

Most people I know think that I'm a lunatic and Bitcoin is nothing more than a fad or a scam.

Many people think that Bitcoin is not safe and that you can be hacked I think. They think that the wallets are also not secure.
But they must use it and see that the Bitcoin is very good to use and it is also very secure.

Unfortunately there is no one even never heard about bitcoin around me, I want to introduce it to them but it seems so hard for them to understand about bitcoin. I have a plan to make a small workshop in order to introduce it to my neighbors, but it requires me some money.

It’s clear that bitcoin has a long way to go to build its brand and to demonstrate utility. But that does ask the question:does a lack of understanding mean that it won’t gain usage? Or, asked in another way: even if 80% of people say they never use bitcoin, will there come a point where they use it without realizing it?
