To be honest I have not buy anything using Cryptocurrency, at least directly. I do earn and received payment in Bitcoin and some other cryptos, but when I spend them, I still need to convert them to Fiat money. The main reason is that I mostly buy all my needs locally (not online), and in here Bitcoin and cryptos are still not legal, or at least not yet regulated, so I can't find any shop or store that accept Cryptocurrency.

Why buddy, if you are being long time on crypto industry definitely you will face any situation where the place you spend the bitcoins or paying options with it.
I love touse the bitcoins and paid with bitcoin for some people for their efforts as well as the products I get from them.

Some people can directly use bitcoin in their city but some people cannot because not all country have an offline store which wants to accept cryptocurrency as the payment. I follow what he did, and before I use the crypto, I need to convert into my local fiat and then I can use that money to buy something.

But I think in the future when the cryptocurrency is accepted in all country, and I can use crypto to buy something without converting into local fiat. With crypto, we have so many alternative coins to be used as the payment, and it's not limit for bitcoin only.

Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023
Last week i called an old friend who was into cryptocurrency some years back, confiding him if there has been any services around the location that accept cryptocurrency as a method of payment; was shocked when he told me his new career as a  Barba, he further told me that cryptocurrency is one of the method of payment. Lets those in the front line(Bitcointalk.org Members) show good examples and others will follow suit.

What kind of service do you render? please accept cryptocurrency as a method of payment

Right now I'm using cryptocurrency to buy memberships and buying domains and of course, paying my bills mostly online service because cryptocurrency is intended to use this way, but I'm also buying my grocery by exchanging my cryptos to our local currency.

In my country there is no platform that's currently accepting Bitcoin as it method of payment rather converting from digital to fiat before an individual will be able to make any transaction. Though the government has been working on legalizing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general which when implement will boost the country economy.

There may be no platform that accepts bitcoin as an alternative method but at least there is an option to convert your bitcoins to fiat directly. Furthermore, there are also services that let you pay (i.e. mobile load, game currencies, etc.) which makes everything convenient.
We might be using the same exchange platform and I think it is remarkable that there are lots of options available.

I treat my bitcoins as my alternative income. I only use them whenever I ran out of cash but I always save a portion of it for future purposes/investments.

There already are some stores who have started accepting cryptocurrencies in the form of their own coin or with BTC.
It is really good to see cryptocurrencies progressing in every field and also buying some commodities with our bitcoins would be a better use of bitcoins.

I have bought some collectibles with my bitcoins until now but I have not really visited any store and made purchase with my cryptocurrency. I would indeed love to do so and I really hope that most of the countries soon start accepting cryptos.

I think in some countries, there are stores readily available to accept crypto as payment. Most are online retailers. There's already a variety to choose from: from VPN services, to pizza or even home goods. If you're really into those kind of services, then I suggest you check out this list.

It's most probable that in the near future, more retail merchant stores will be able to provide crypto as a payment method. They can now take up a terminal to cater to such transactions such as the use of cash app since they've begun the integration of Bitcoin in the early 2018.

IMO, more stores should already start adopting crypto since there will soon be a demand for it. We may not be feeling it now but its only because those who are interested to purchase with bitcoins don't have that much option where to buy.

I haven't really spent that many coins lately, just had a wonderful time donating money to a wide variety of people through Lightning, testing out some games, feeding chickens, etc. It has taken most of my time and I really enjoy utilizing Lightning. I wish there were more services and merchants on board, but that's just a matter of time. I'm so excited that my excitement gets too far ahead some times, lol.

What I do want to see is more local brick and mortar stores coming on board. I want to walk into stores settling my transactions in Bitcoin. Money should be used as money, and Bitcoin definitely is money.

That's where we suck, the adoption is too small to really use BTC as an alternative currency. Like many other users, I spend my coins to buy stuff online VPS, gift cards, services but what I want is to be able to pay the supermarket, the bills, and other daily needs. Still then, like many users too, I sell to fiat

Cryptocurrencies are not originally meant for purchases of commodities but are meant for investing online, trading on with them, Gambling onto something, or something similar to these.

Use of cryptocurrencies in buying/selling commodities is a plus point for cryptocurrencies and might act as a major source of promotion. Cryptocurrencies makes payments easier and with some minor changes can be set to use in even offline payments.

Our local fast-food delivery service accepts Bitcoin and I'm really hooked to it. It's not exactly a healthy habit, but it's super convenient. The best thing is that they accept payments instantly if you add an appropriate fee.

The fast-food chain now has started to accept as a payment system just like Mcdo and Jollibee, via QR code they can send payment using their Bitcoin. But for me, in this market situation, I would rather keep my Bitcoin than to expend unnecessary things just like having a bill in fast food which you can pay it with fiat.

Other than foods I spend my coins mostly on renewing my VPN subscription, gift cards, etc. The basic things we all tend to spend our coins on. It would be cooler to spend coins with rising prices, but that's something we can't do anything about.

I can't say I often use crypto when it comes to payment, but there were some cases. I bought some digital assets like VPN, hosting, smth like this. At the moment I don't need to buy physical goods through crypto, but who knows what I can afford then Smiley

I have little use of crypto as a payment option, but if there's no choice — it's not a big deal for me to buy smth for eth/btc. Already bought a couple of gadgets via ModulTrade, there're no problems with delivery and pricing policies.

I dont spend as their is no physical store to spend and purchasing from online is costly as delivery charges are high, so i just keep invested and when ever i am in financial problem i just convert it to fiat currency and use it.

What is BC? Cheesy
Most likely BTC but BC is maybe BitcoinCash.. I don't know  Cheesy

In the current market situation I try to avoid any spendings in BTC, just to think about it could be x10 in value a few years later.  Cheesy
Instead I try to collect as much as possible in BTC while price ist still low.

BTC can still be used for spending things later. And more stores will accept BTC.

when he say bc he means bitcoins   { BC - BitCoin }   .  bitcoincash is short for bch

anyways   ,btc is the real shortcut for bitcoin not bc  but if thats what he like then okay , no problem with that  .

I think you are not working as a writer but all I can say is welcome here in the forum.

Well, back to the OP's topic, I guess as of now when the market is in bearish trend no one spends their Bitcoin. Unless if it is a necessary thing but usually they keep Bitcoin sleep into the wallet and waiting a right time to spend.
But here in our country BTC convert to fiat and then spend fiat to buy stuff.

I virtually buy everything I need with crypto currency because I don't see the challenges of stores not accepting bitcoin as an excuse not to use it. What I simply do is to convert to fiat which is always available then get what I wish without any bottlenecks whatsoever. However, with a service like yours, its expected that the middle process would likely be eliminated and would make transaction with crypto more seamless.
