It depends on project. If I confident at project I always hodl. If I doubt then try to sell ASAP.
I like to store most of the tokens in my wallet and the left stored on the exchange to make short term profit. I think if you join in an ICO project, you know it should be a long term investment.
If it ERC20 tokens, I transfer it to my hardware wallet and hold there.
