Music always helps me feel better. Or hanging out with friends.  Tongue

If we go to the doctor and ask what do you when we are sad it would definitely say go and hanging out with friends

When I am sad I always listen to some great track that gets me going like Thunderstruck from AC/DC. Then I open an ice cold beer and the sadness goes away. I think that is the best cure for sadness in case the reason for it isn’t something very bad. Smiley

Make a nice sandwich, hit the gym, have a nice hot shower afterwards then take a nap as soon as you're home. Works every time.
Yes! You may forget your sadness in that way too. Just take a rest and eat a lot then you may feel the relieve then. Smiley

If we was never sad, we wouldn't know what happy was.
Finally a voice of reason here. I have another example. 'If you never tasted a bad apple, you would not appreciate a good one.'
From this we can conclude that we have to experience life to understand it.

Yeah! You're right. Thank you for your recommendation. I love exercising though.Smiley
That's great. It shouldn't be hard for you to overcome your sadness, unless it is being caused by a recurring thing.

Forcing a smile can help sometime.

But I'm usually able to convince myself it's not worth being sad over, and that being sad is a waste of time and energy.

Seriously, this actually works for me.

I listen to some music. I have a playlist for that. made of 70% sad, 10% funny, and 20% serious but cheerful music.  Grin

I don't do that when I feel really depressed tho.

Nobody can always be happy. This thread is going to attract a lot of useless comments.
OP this is really situation specific. Have you considered what is making you sad? You should try to objectively think about it; is it really worth being sad over? From personal experience I don't really know, as I rarely feel anything, but I've helped others before.

I would recommend social activity (even if you do not like/prefer it then) and exercise. Something like boxing will let you blow a lot of stream off. Also you should consider doing things that you like/things that make you happy, more often. Pretty much anything that is going to distract you as much as possible from the problem is good.

Yeah! You're right. Thank you for your recommendation. I love exercising though.Smiley
