I don't think the key point there is affording to bet that high.
He is betting all of his profit in one single bet. No one can survive that. If you are serious about gambling, and you can get serious in sports betting, since it has a good mix of skill and luck, you must have a good bankroll management. And betting all your profit in one single bet is not a good practice in my opinion.

It's unwritten rule that trying to recover from a huge loss will get you even further down the drain. I think that in these situations players are just forcing too much and not judging clearly. Emotions do take over.

So yes, I would also probably try to bounce back and recover even though this wouldn't be the best decision. But I have said a it already, emotions just take over!

It would be stupid of one to bet whatever you have in total.The loss is not the part which would hurt the most but the stupidity ! If you'd bet half the amount you'd still have half to be happy about and then bet it wisely but having void left is just disappointing .However you can always learn from your mistake and don't repeat the same again.

1. It is common. I'm glad I was close. Sportsbooks sometimes have a Free bet promo when you miss only one match.
2. I can not imagine that scenario, but I would have been angry for a while.

Regarding 1, most of the parlay bets I made have only 3 or 4 legs, so losing a parlay by 1 match is not something special for me. Regarding 2, I will be upset for sure but I can only choose to forget about it. Trying to recover a big loss recklessly will most likely bring me an even bigger loss.

That would only happen if you got greedy. If you are doing fine earning few bitcoin, you better keep it that way. You should never bet with more than 10% of your gambling stack. and even playing with 10% is already a big risk.

the gambling problem is this, when you lose you are sure of recuperated all you lose with next bet. If you have lose, for 1 or more bet, don't bet double, bet only when you can lose another time

But for number 2, i will not risking all of my bitcoin in just 1 bet

Better save some bitcoin for next bet.
Have risk management is very important, more bet you have more chance you will get profit.

Play with amount that you can afford to lose.

it is gambling and i am always ready to lose whenever i am betting on anything. so i always keep my bets as small as possible, so i can earn a considerable profit while on losing i don't lose much.

so if i win 1BTC i am never going to lose it all because of what i explained above.

but even if i lose in any case, i stop betting any more and start over again in another day fresh from the beginning. because i would get frustrated if i continue down a losing streak.

You sure about that? Sports betting is still gambling, even if you have some more information available with which to make your bet. So, how can anyone prove to themselves that they can make 1 btc only because they previously got there?

it is sport betting. it is not those dice gambling it is mainly based on luck. by the means to gain 1 btc, it already shows he may know some skills to make good prediction. I never say he is gonna be 100% sure will profit, but he does have a higher chance to gain back. I am into dota gambling and i know tons of people who success. (i even know more people who fail of course)

I would defo...go for a recover,but it has no concerns with you as we dont have same money sources or opportunities .
but if you have money other than your living go fot it.

2. I don't gamble so mine it is only a hypothetical answer. I will forget it. If I will continue for sure I will lose all my money. The luck in gambling is rare and it was with you until you had your bitcoin. Then is difficult to be back again soon.

Anyhow, my suggestion is to not gamble at all.

Well case one, at least for me is totally normal. I never won one parlay lol, and most of them are by one match.

Second one is just "stupid" (that's what I say now, but I have done it, and now I understand that is just plain stupid). You can't go after losses, everyone understands that, so no point in "explaining" it again, but betting all of your profit in just one bet is just stupid.
For me one of the most important keys for success in gambling is bankroll management. There is chance involved and you will feel some variance from time to time, so if you don't control what you are risking you will just compromise all the hard work in one moment of bad luck, and you can't just do that.

This is part of gambling and you can not avoid this happening.Just like many here I also lost some parlay bets by one match.There majority play smaller parlay except some big players.It gives some tense feelings when I loose like this not because of money but because of choosing wrong team for my bet.Each time try to choose better but can't avoid this always.

Hehe, to cover my loss of course, I bet 5 bitcoin on a parley before, which was US open 2015 round 1, and I lost 4 matches out of total 7 matches, and all the guys I picked were low odds, luckily I won the money in the end, I bet 7.1btc on marin cilic VS tsonga with 2.38 odds.

So don't be afraid if you lost money, be brave and you will be up again, you can see my screenshot, I was down 9 btc in US Open early rounds, but in the end I was up 4 btc in total, which is an awesome gambling story.
