Life is a game, you either play it or get played.

I don't really spend money too much, but I regret buying a few plugins and website themes / services. Although I lose a bit here and there I tend to learn off everything I purchase.

In most cases, it looks like i'm not alone and more people are affected by this than I thought. Most people in all countries throw out more than they use or get scammed along the way, but nothing takes away forgetting pain in life when growth exceeds the norm.

Everything digital is ahead of time and BTC surely has failed startup opportunities just like the dot com bubble, losses are always an expectation... Especially when moving into the development aspect in life.

I will say that spending money on repairs for a car that is 30 years old would be the biggest regret this year.
I could of just as easily have spent that money on a new car and not be trying to revive this old one.
It is costing more everytime to fix something that is just having it inches away from being sent to the junk yard. It is a never ending cycle once you start putting money into a dying car.
Might as well just buy brand new and bypass all the guilt later in what you have done. Embarrassed
Repairing a car that's been so old is simply waste of money, but you cannot get it back in future if you sell this. Because those were like precious memories. Better try selling it for bitcoin you might get additional profit.
Same as one of the user my regret is too gambling, even after getting few winning I was unable to make a good saving. So have given a small break for it.
if the car was of his need then it is not bad that he spend some money on that but as he is regretting so he may not that much need of it. By the way sometimes people spend on extreme needs and when they see the price of bitcoin much higher they regret that why not they bought bitcoin instead of spending on their need.

Considering you could have used the money to buy bitcoins and essentially double your money instead, what purchases did you make this year that you are now regretting?

If you knew what you know now, would you have been more frugal with your money?

I don't have any regrets when it comes to spending money last year. I've planned everything well with my wife and I've sticked to our plans, thus I've been able to do well and invest a little into Bitcoin every month too.

I blew $2000+ on a vacation earlier this year. I could have easily postponed it by a year and bought bitcoins with it.
This probably would have been enough for 3-4 vacations.
Yeah and then you could have enjoyed a lot more with the same amount since the bitcoins grew quite significantly recently. Though I won't blame you hehe because come on spending bitcoins on vacations is like a dream come true. Spending our earnings on vacations sounds great to me.

Bought a video game with bitcoins around May so as you say I could have great profits if I did not purchase that video game that at the end turned out to be not as good as I though it would be.

Definitely on gambling and treating gambling as a way to earn easy and fast money, instead of as entertainment. Gambling is a -EV game and people don't realise that. They think that there is a strategy to beat the house, but the reality is that the more bets you make the more likely the house edge is going to catch up with you in the long term and make you lose.

I won't gamble again this year. Not after the losses that were incurred last year...

no i never spending my money because there is a lot of people adopting bitcoin in huge amount through their money because they want to hold some bitcoin for the future and they know that bitcoin will be more profitable .
I think even though the price of bitcoin will be high in the future. does not mean you have to continue to hold your bitcoin for you to bring in a profit. What about when you're in need of money or goods, surely you must do the spending, do it wisely

As always, all my purchases are attentive and conservatively planned. In this way, I moved last year when I bought bitcoins. Perhaps I should sometimes be more risky. In this case I had more fiat money to afford and I could have to buy more If I believed on the potential of the bitcoin. On the other side who can surely predict the future events?

I assume we're not talking about 2017 because it just started Cheesy what I regret the most is that I actually did not spend my money on Bitcoin. I just kept my money in fiat and that was a bad decision, and I regret it because now I would have had doubled that amount (a few hundreds bucks).

This year i would not regret about spending money because during new year we spend less together with my family, and talking about what I regret most is using fiat currency money is at last year's spending history. I am able to spend fiat money to some happy hours buying alcoholic drinks and uncertain lottery gambling which spends fiat money which i regret most spending and big thanks to bitcoin because beyond regretions there is hope from bitcoin which made me learn how to earn out of it.

If selling bitcoin and spending that counts, the worst thing I did was sell over 5 BTC and gamble it away on a fiat casino while bitcoin was only $300-$400. I could have kept those coins and sold now and I'd actually have a good use for them. But mistakes are made to be learned from, right? Life goes on!

I also did not spend my money on any thing and kept my money in bitcoin. I was already aware from a few months that the price of bitcoin will increase much higher at the end of 2016 and at the beginning of 2017 so I am now much happy with buying bitcoin at good time.

I made a lot of investment in shitcoins, that gives me a negative return  Grin .  Though it was even out by investing into another shitcoin and  i managed to exit at its peak, the only regret i have is by holding shitcoins too long especially when I am aware that it is actually a shitcoin.  So I guess lesson learned and I am still not discourage in investing at them, I just need to time the exit perfectly. I was holding a good number of coins in the beginning of 2016. Unfortunately, I had some financial issues to solve and saw myself forced to sell most of them. Now, when I look back and think that I've sold them at less than the half of the current price it even brakes my heart :\

I don't regret any because I am spending my money wisely. I spend my money on my personal and family needs.  Any excess i save them either in bitcoin or in money.  As much as possible I don't want to buy bitcoin and get bitcoin thru my effort.  Then trade it with altcoin and possible exit with a profit.

What I regret most is buying shit ton of hyper nutricious cereal bars. I've bought like 70$ worth of them in preparation of a one week trip on bike in mountains, for me and my friends. 3/4 of those weren't even ate and I think it even went to trash ! Also, buying a coat at 275$ or two pair shoes at 155$ each could have been postponed without much problem I think... However I doubt I would have bought Bitcoin instead.
