FTC is a solid coin and like ohters say it has big potential in the UK. And not like other coins that are not doing anything they are extremely active, not just on the internet but going to talks, meeting groups, evangelizing not just FTC but good cryptos in general. They really believe in the movement and they believe in getting many people to use their crypto and accept it. I think this coin is undervalued IMO, and i'm not a fanboy. When the dust settles with all these alts we'll see who remains, these guys will still be there.

As for investment i'd say they're more a long term investment, however high risk for ROI as any other crypto. I'd say invest in other alts that you feel will be HOT. Pump n dump alts took me from .3 BTC to 10+. Also getting in on new innovative alts good give return as well. ie: protoshares and nxt did it for me (wish i held on NXT would've made tripple).

Yeah, as far as active communities go and merchant adoption, FTC has probably the best of all the alts. The marketplace is a big plus too. I can't see any reason why FTC wont go back to £1-ish this year. If it does I'll have made a nice little profit.

But yeah market has changed now, there are 10 different coins being announced taking the MSC , NXT approach, all of which look like scams. There's an increse in scam coins, copy cats etc... I don't know where this will go but it may devalue altcoins in general or strengthen the ones that last.

Just my 2 cents, another opinion in the bucket.

There is 3.931.219.31 FTC for sale on btc-e alone atm. And 115.200 more is mined every day.

Beside a strong community there is really nothing to Feathercoin. It was actually the first coin I mined and invested in, but i have sold of everything now.

There is better options out there imo. Smiley

I think that Feathercoin will go up to the moon in 2014 Cheesy From 0.4 USD to 5-10 USD, when Litecoin will reach 100 USD or more.

FTC whales really are waiting for it Wink

I hope you're right about these predictions. I'm excited for where Bitcoin is going to go too.

FTC is definitely one of the stronger coins out there.

Just remember ALL crypto currencies are new and volatile and don't invest any more than you can afford to lose.

I'm sure FTC is way better and stable than all those new altcoins. No, I'm not a FTC fanboy, but i'm here long enough to say this.

It's the same for, for example, DigitalCoin. These coins have a serious team behind them and are not a typically pump and dump or scamcoin.

In my opinion it is one of the better alts, and doesn't compare to all these dime-a-dozen get rich quick scheme that pop up almost daily.

i wouldnt invest anything in ftc. Doenst look like its about to go up, and its not really supported. Once btc-e removes it from their site it will drop alot.

I'd suggest you better look at the more active alts, but be aware of scam/pumpndump alt coins so it requires a little attention. If you want to be save then just invest in btc.

Wow, are you serious? Feathercoin is not really supported? -

edit: nvm. Just saw your profil. New member without any clue.

*FTC fanboy alert* haha.

People will always slag off altcoins here, it's nothing new.

Its not about fanboy, its just sad to see something that isnt even close to true.

Welcome to Bitcointalk and FUD  Grin. People just regurgitate other's untrue opinions, happens with all alts.

Iam around here for a while, not new at all Smiley - I know such kind of people, but its always sad that such new people without any clue judge anything they dont even know.

I wasn't suggestion you was new, just joking about the FUD here  Smiley.

Feathercoin got great potential. You can even buy it via bittylicious.com

Also it has really strong footing within the UK.
Just saw that about Bittylicious. Nice move. I heard a FTC representative talk at the recent bitcoin meeting in London, but was sorry to miss the start. He is doing an impressive job in raising awareness. The client is mature, I have not experienced any connection issues. I would be surprised if any rises in 2014 didn't mirror PPC or Worldcoin. It's gaining traction - see the marketplace here: https://feathercoinmarket.com/index.php

I bought a lot from Bittylicious.

I am also from the UK and hope it could become like a British Bitcoin.

FeatherCoin is basically one of a small bunch of coins that has a strong development team and is not based on a rip.

FeatherCoin should be a great investment for 2014

I think it does have a strong community and team behind it and a lot of good features, and I think it could be a good investment given its price, but it is still essentially a Litceoin clone.
