Possibly can be a good start for a real relationships, but when people limit their communication to online dating exclusively they do it wrong.
I think online dating is a really great thing for single people. I ahve used it too a couple of times, and I really like it a lot. I often use some alternative things like listcrawler, for example, but it is a whole different story 
I am not really into online dating. There is only a small percentage of chance that you will be able to talk to a real person. The sad part is, this rare person is usually some desperate girl, a very old lady or someone who is into something else for you besides finding a good relationship.

It is more important to meet in real just to make sure the realness both the physical the outer and the character the inner aspect of the person than online dating.

I agree. Some of these sites even hire people from overseas to pilot their fake profiles and chat with people so they can get your money. It is very highly unlikely to find true love online. Though a few people do out of luck.
I think that online dating is an awesome possibility of finding your person. Because through the internet it's much easier to find a person with the same thoughts and interests. Also it saves time!
