anonymity its good for some people and not for some people why? because in here we can see that the bitcoin will give the anonymousty who is the owner, the receiver or the sender, but bad things is when the government can't makes the bitcoin legal because of this aspect

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
Anonymity can be a good thing in a dangerous world... It is nothing new actually. In the past people lived underground or in forest to escape tyranny.
People should have a way of avoiding tyranny on the Internet  too. However I do really like the idea of Anonymity without Accountability. Technologies should be able to monitor people's cyber activities in decentralized and secured manner without knowing who/what they are they are monitoring are. The identities can  only be auto unmasked when a crime has been committed.

I understand that fraudsters often use anonymity to commit illegal transactions. But this does not mean that such anonymity and security is something bad. This is the same if you compare Bitcoin, for example, with a car. The car can cause damage, get into an accident, but nevertheless, it is a useful thing in most cases. Bitcoin is the same! Much more important is what good it can bring to the world.

I was surprised by the thoughts of some people who stated that bitcoin is the currency used for criminals. I do not agree with this idea, because any currency can be used for a crime so we cannot blame Bitcoin for crimes that occur on the grounds of the anonymity of bitcoin. The percentage of crime is still more paper currency than cryptocurrency. In the end, the use of bitcoin depends on its users so I appeal to all users to be wise in using bitcoin.

The anonymous aspect is what makes it so popular otherwise it is just like any other form of payment. It's not just criminals taking advantage, but also those in struggling countries like venezuela and soon zimbabwe

However, what do you think, will Bitcoin (or other coins) do more good than harm for humanity in the future?

bitcoin is a currency which is more like a tool, how people use this tool depends on them but their usage doesn't define bitcoin. so your topic is moot. it is like asking whether cars are going to "harm humanity in the future" because there are criminals who also use cars to for example transfer drugs, or there are people in jail because of manslaughter or DUI!

The cryptocurrency anonymity is not to avoid taxes or commit money laundering crimes but is used as a recording identity. You know for sure that there are no lies on the internet, all data is recorded based on the log of activities they are working on. Blockchain gives us transaction justice because everything is completely transparent and traceable. Unless they do a mixer to delete transaction traces. Whereas cryptocurrency trading requires KYC, its function is legality and tax compliance.

I see a lot of news regarding criminals who use the cryptocurrencies to hide their identities from authorities. There is also a ton of other evil things connected with crypto, such as hidden miners, fake exchanges etc.

Personally, I am very excited about the underlying bitcoin technology (science and tech are my favorite domains). However, what do you think, will Bitcoin (or other coins) do more good than harm for humanity in the future?

It's a government propaganda to discourage common people from using cryptocurrency. Even though it is true that cryptos can be very easily used by the criminals for various illegal acts, but do you think fiat isn't being used for the same reason?

Cryptos came into picture just 10 years back and rose into prominence just 3 years back. Prior to that what currency syatem was being used by the criminals??

I think crypto offer a unique feature and anonymity is an important part of crypto, and crypto is just a medium, it can be used for good or bad things, it depends on the users, crypto was never intended to be used for bad things, so we shouldn't blame crypto if someone used it for criminal things and as a user we need to remind everyone to used crypto for good things so the adoption could go well

Anonymity and privacy for an online transactions is very important for me if you feel that there are tons of evil activities in the crypto world why other currencies experienced the same thing? Crypto and real currencies are both have shady activities.

However, due to lack of knowledge to protect their identity more people hacked by using online currencies compared on using crypto. If you don't protect your real identity they can use it to find a way to hack your accounts like PayPal and Debit/Credit card because they can retrieve your login credentials using your identity.

And I think most of the online companies and store accepts Debit or Credit card so they can use or sell your card information to someone. So for me, it's not really safe compared on crypto that you just need their crypto address and then send.
That is why Crypto is the best option for privacy and anonymity in terms of buying a digital product online or paying a service.

Illegal transactions might be easily made by using traditional transaction methods. There are so many island countries which are heaven for this kind of transactions and no one ask you where your money comes. Thus, I don't think that people who are criminals and make money by using illegal ways would prefer to use crypto currencies just for their anonymity aspect.

Only one we can do to protect our self is to use vpn
Even that isn't offering any actual form of 'protection' or privacy. All it does it add a layer providing more privacy than when you would browse the web in the most vanilla way.

The same applies to coins focused on privacy, because let's be honest, even here you can't be guaranteed any actual form of privacy. It's again an added layer of privacy, one that people wrongly assume makes them invisible.

I still stand by it that cash money is still offering the best possible form of privacy when it comes to peer to peer transactions, and that's exactly why governments want a cashless society....

I am very excited about this innovative technology and opportunity as well, even if Bitcoin itself plummets, Blockchain itself has really changed the world, because, the current pace and trajectory we're heading with our technology, transparency will most likely end up being a normal occurrence in everyday society. The fact that you can remain pseudo-anonymous, yet still have transactions on the chain public, really disrupts the current financial tech industry.
In a way, the blockchain kind of forces many industry hands to adopt this new innovation, as the old style of bookkeeping becomes more and more obsolete, eventually doomed to fall by the wayside.
Whenever there is a new innovation, you can be sure there are those who might see it used for criminal purposes, naturally this comes with the territory  Embarrassed. Overall, the future looks pretty bright for Blockchain tech, but I really can't say what the future holds for Bitcoin.  Huh

Just my two cents!

This is not even doubt. As long as it is possible to earn easy money on this topic. As long as it is possible, there will be fraudsters.Eventually, the scammers will sooner or later disappear and the cryptocurrency will flourish. For all of humanity, a cryptocurrency is a way out of many difficult situations, which are very numerous in the world at the moment.

There are a lot of articles that talk about the possibility of tracking Bitcoin "leader of cryptos" transactions, and many analysts and developers have reported that "the United States has banned two bitcoin addresses."
As long as there are a global agreement and regulatory rules, these cryptos will not affect the negative aspects of money laundering or trading of drugs.

There are a lot of currencies based on the privacy which provide the impossibility of tracking better than BTC.

[1] YES, YOUR BITCOIN TRANSACTIONS CAN BE TRACKED – AND HERE ARE THE COMPANIES THAT ARE DOING IT

This has been discussed in the past for so many times. Crypto is for all so we can't remove the aspect that it can be used for something evil like illegal transactions and to the fact that in the dark markets, bitcoin and other privacy coins is the currency they use to transact.

It's becoming more popular everyday and going to the mainstream where most understands these circumstances but using it on the good side is what we should practice. About those hidden miners, you should be responsible when you use internet and you can install some extensions just to block those hidden miners that penetrates your computer.
