Hello everyone, I do not understand much of bitcoin but I have wondered if on my website it would be good to accept payment with bitcoin, who do you think? it would be a good idea? Or would it still be a proco soon?

You come to bitcoin forum, and ask about accepting BTC in your website?
no one will advise you not to do this. Probably you will get advice to add some major altcoins in your payment system and suggest which payment processor is best to use.
you've already got the answers you need and there is no need for further discussion here.

OP has not been active here in the forum for more than 10 days:

It's weird that in 10 days he just not posted, he didn't post his website link. I wonder why he created an account here in the forum and why he created this thread

Why not? Bitcoin is becoming very popular now in online transactions all over the world and adding this as another payment option is a nice idea I can see some websites not only bitcoin but also eth and bch they are accepting and in my opinion as I can see its a computer store website so its very applicable to try this payment method.

OP must first know if bitcoin is allowed in his country.

By accepting bitcoin, you offer your customers alternative method of payments, what's wrong with variety choice of payments? Nothing, you may even attract new customers, there are some people who prefer to buy things with bitcoin instead of visa/master card. I don't say you'll see a flood of people who will use btc but maybe, you'll attract new customers and some current ones will move on it.
Well, accept btc, at least you lose nothing.

Not sure if you are a reseller or a direct stockist selling all the hardware that is listed on your site.

i guess he is not a reseller because he said before that he owned the website . i check the site and there is no option for registering ( registering to resell stocks )  just like what we saw on ebay and other reselling websites  .

@op the site looks great . it was like one of the pro site that i see nowadays and crypto/btc payments is a perfect fit for it because your selling a gadget .

If you are a reseller you will run into problems when splitting your commission vs what the original website or seller is charging.
Unless you have a third party exchange integration that would immediately convert your payments received in crypto into fiat. Then you won't get that problem.

BTCPay is fantastic, but I don't think it's a good thing to donate BitPay free exposure like this, because they definitely don't deserve this. The way they discourage using Bitcoin as payment option by charging an extra fee is just retarded.

I didn't know that they charged an extra fee for using BTC as payment. It is retarded and they really discourage using BTC.

If I were to buy something I would not pay with BTC if there were additional fees..

Just to make it clear, Bitpay charges a 1% fee to merchants, not customers.
To be fair, this doesn't necessarily discourage the use of Bitcoin, by either customer or merchants.

They need some revenue to run their service and they're still a lot cheaper than other (non-crypto) payment gateways.

That said, there's a lot of other stuff wrong with Bitpay Tongue

I think if you add https://bitpay.com/ or https://btcpayserver.org/ to your website it will be very nice and it is easy to set up.

Coinbase is a much better alternative for those looking for a centralized BitPay alternative, and they accept more coins as well; https://commerce.coinbase.com/

I'm an advocate of variety, for it is said that variety is the spice to life. I would say is nice to use bitcoin as a payment option in your business but since you are starting up, maybe you also consider other established coins, at least the known ones. This will give you an edge to also compete favourably. Of course you know not everybody has bitcoin and some might be discouraged to convert because of stress, time and fees.

You can also make some advertising in social media like "we accept bitcoin #bitcoin #cryptocurrency" something like that. Some geeks and bitcoin fanatics may even buy something in your website or at least you will get some attention.

Please take your time to learn more about bitcoin, especially on how wallet works, how you can protect your funds, how to keep your BTC safe, before accepting this payment option on your site, you should consider that the volatility of price can give you negative profit as well.

Do this first. Try to learn the basic about private keys and public keys, wallets... but it is not hard.

Yes, you can add up and its much better to have many options rather than on having fiat online payments alone.

Here are my observations towards the site. Can you make English as a global language? Checking out the prices, its somehow expensive imho.

I think it depends on the product or service first. See if your users get volume. Then see if your users are also bitcoin users. It's always nice to accept crypto and I have found more clients when I accept payment in crypto but that's because I'm a remote worker and there is a big movement to switch to digital currency amongst ourselves.

Offer it but not at the expense of hassle you could do without, is what i say. Do a poll maybe. See what the demand is like. Or just say to contact you to discuss options.

Of course this is a good idea. Because we know that not a few people have Bitcoin at this time, even though they only intend as an Investment but over time they will use Bitcoin as their Payment tool. Good luck with your Business.

I am sure that is the right decision if you accept bitcoin on your website because you help bitcoin by the spread in the site. The visitor who visits on your site will know about bitcoin, and I think they will search more info about bitcoin by reading on your site or another website. You need to give a little explanation to them that you introduce another option to pay so they can make a transaction with bitcoin after they know how to get bitcoin. I think your website will get a new visitor who wants to shop on the site because you have more option to be used as the payment method.

Bitcoin is digital currency who will make a transaction become easy, moreover if your country accept bitcoin as payment system I believe there will be many people who buy your stuff using bitcoin. As far as I know payment system using digital currency (money fiat) is common thing to use recently, especially for online shop.  So, that is good idea for you to make an innovation to use it, regardless for some problem such as high fee and etc it won't make some people doubt to use their bitcoin to buy your stuff.

It is really a good idea at all. The more payment options, the better, and much better beside Bitcoin, you can also add some payment options with some cryptocurrencies too, not only Bitcoin.
Once you already included Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in your website, it is much better to add some icon of Bitcoin in the footer of your website or anywhere just to make your customer aware about your mode of payments.

That is good stuff if you are accepting bitcoin as payment, there are so many online shops on internet accepting bitcoin but first, you should know how volatile it is. You should understand the concept of Bitcoin how it works and the possible thing that you have probably encountered in the future when the value suddenly drops. Nevertheless, the advantage is when the price surge in the market for sure it has a good value. These things you should know, the advantage and disadvantage of it.

There is nothing wrong if you accept Bitcoin on your website, many online stores are doing it and you won't be the first. For many users, it far convenient than using credit cards.
But before you implement it, I will advice you to please read more about Bitcoin to know how it works, and know which payment system to use (Bitpay is good though), and few other things.

It's good to have options. So, I do not see anything wrong if you accept bitcoins in your site. In fact this may help you to find clients who like to shop using their coins. Not everyone has those online fiat wallets.
