I wonder why the united Nations security council can't take charge of situation in North Korea in an expedite manner. Are they waiting for things to explode before they react. I worry though.
And what would you have them do, exactly?
North Korea is a sovereign country, is already frequently harassed by a member of the Security Council, and borders two other members of the Council - which have already agreed to harsher sanctions, but have no great interest in seeing the country destabilized any further, obviously, as they would have to deal with the consequences before anyone else. And if by "take charge [...] in an expedite manner" you mean, insane as it is, military action, that could have disastrous consequences for everyone (massive loss of lives in North Korea, South Korea, possibly Japan and elsewhere; a major hit to the global economy; and potentially millions of refugees).
