I just received some of the tokens I've promoted in the bounty campaign, some of these coins reach their soft cap or able to generate funds in their ICO stages but I was disappointed seeing all these coins down 90% or no buy order at all when it hit the market.

And to think some of them included in their promotion that they will not let the price go down in their ICO price, do you think it's still worth investing in ICO if there is no uncertainty that you will a make a profit, or is it because Bitcoin dominance left no room for new coins to grow in the market?

I will feel disappointed and really stressed if my investment in ico fall down.

First step i will look at the community it self, if developers really active and deliver their roadmap then i will look at market and community response. If the result give good price i will self around 1/4 of my coin, and if market or community not response with the news from developer i will prepare to exit.

Second step, if coin have better response from the first step i will hold coin and wait second news, and repeat first step.

I learned so much from minexcoin, they have good community and marketing team/developer team always announce report and deliver their project. At first announcement, market response with pumping price and minex become top 100 cmc for around two weeks. Price increase very significant, this is signal for me to prepare exit. And thats true, after pumped then price dumped. After second announcement, market response is not good and so on

Falling the price of a token with access on the exchange is common and you need to get used and adapt. I don't often invest in a project  Only the participation in the bounty campaigns gives me the opportunity to get coins of a project I like by spending only my personal time on it.

for the state of the new token it is very reasonable and probably experienced by almost all new tokens. they don't yet have a strong enough trade, and their communities are still small. of course when people sell, the price will go down. it will be improved when the developer manages to strengthen the community and their market capabilities.

You are right because only few still maintained a good price after listing. I think this issue of a project will finish ICO and dump somehow concerns the team and if they are really working as expected. The price of a coin can dump below ICO price, but going down to 90% shows something is wrong; so I think it's wise taking huge time to study each project before investing, if the team lacks the neccessary traits then it's a No No.
I would not say that it is normal because if the project is really great because if the project team are good, at least they should be able to push it to the level where it would not be down more than 60% while the remaining will just be as a result of the general bear market, but right now, I can't vouch for those project again.

I have seen so many project that have very real use case down by such amount and I really don’t know what could have gone wrong other than the fact developers or project team are not active or either abandoned the project tactically without their community knowing. Altcoin season is coming, and that is when everything will be exposed to the world and we will know which projects are completely dead.

These developers do not have control on the price of their token of it entered in the exchange or market unless they have  buy support on their roadmap or whitepaper, but all good coins have a dump history before they eventually regain their price, and investors make profit, it's the reality now that investors should accept.

Often times after ICO, when listed, the prices dumps, it's no longer new but then genuine team will keep every possibility to make sure the price go up high again. So before participating in any any project try to do some research about the team.

Actually wouldn't think anything because we promoted the project means we join the bounty campaign. Maybe what i think will only when the coin will up. Because although i not buy it, hold it for longer time usually make bored. And for fact, some coins that i hold in wallet, usually keep get down and never increased again. Maybe know when to sell your coin will be good to learn.

for the current situation i think many people have experienced the same thing that you experienced. I am personally always flexible in investing in an ICO. what I mean is flexible here is before I joined ICO (although there are some very promising projects), I always see the market situation. so, when I decided to join ICO, for the present situation I always see whether the concept and plan of the project is able to maintain the ICO price of their token utility when entering the market. However, for the time being since the beginning of 2019 I haven't even participated in ICO or IEO. so I feel now might not be the right time to invest in an ICO. But its just only my opinion  Wink

At the moment this is happening with all altcoins, I also participate in bounty companies and sometimes invest in very top projects, but unfortunately this does not bring good results and therefore at the moment I decided only if I will make investments then I will make investments only in IEO`s which are carried out on binance exchange, because only companies that conduct IEO`s on binance exchange bring me stable income and this scheme is working and will work.

my opinion about this is certainly I failed in promoting the bounty campaign to attract investors. and one more thing, for me ICO investment is still feasible and we just choose ICO which has the potential to increase and tokens continue to be used.

I think what we could be seeing now are the telltale signs that the tokenomics bubble has bust!

The dotcom internet companies vs current token/ICO craze has been brought up a lot in the crypto space. It’s an easy comparison. But it is also very much a lesson of supply boom in the absence of demand.

During the dotcom era, there were many startups that created an immense supply of services for an unknown number of “users.” Artificial demand was manufactured through media outlets, analyst reports, and ultimately the very buyers themselves who imagined the pending need for all of these web applications. Build it and they will come they would say.

But the only people that came were bankruptcy attorneys. Office furniture and computers became cheap. Lease prices fell. Capital dried up. And finally, the market for 0 value services was 0.
This might as well be the story of the ICO and its tokens.

No worries if the coins or tokens i'm holding lose 90% value,if the projects have good potentials there is no reason to be worried about present value, all you have to do is keep holding, you are not in real loss if you still have the tokens and coins in holdings, you will only lose if you sell

That is why 90% of the ICOs failed at the end. After promoting it with your efforts and time, the returns are unjustifiable. I mean, yes there is still some coins that is listed in a particular exchange that is keep growing but majority of the coins there are hardly pumping. Thus, encouraging the participants not to worry about the price because it will not go down that low but that is really impossible.

I suggest after receiving the reward tokens, sell them right away while the price is still high. In the long run, the usual scenario is that the reward coins you are holding will gonna be left behind.

if i were down 90%?
well ill just sit and wait no need to sell the coin or dump there is no point
you already lost 90% selling it will result to lost
invest on other coin to get profit get the losses on other profitable coins
selling it will not be good, at those times, getting to campaigns and other free like airdrop will also
help you get back the money losses

I will not advise any one to invest in ico now because it is away of losing money. I rather gambling with my funds instead of feeding those developers. If you want to invest in any coins or tokens it is wise you do that when there are listed in any of the popular exchange and you are sure those coins/tokens have a very nice volume because you will always get it cheap in the exchange than any of the ico. I have made that research and there are no bonuses that will attract me again to invest during ico!.

same as me, only that I get is a token ieo even this is the weirdest they offer a project for over a year and they are still doing sales until now I don't know why they are too ambitious and I think they better reduce their sales target and try their luck by registering ieo on launchpad which is quite popular and currently the tokens that I got from the bounty are not useful at all.

I am shocked that this is surprised you. Isn't it common thing for now days..? and most important thing is it's depending on project. You can't see those thing on good projects i guess.

Never listen to them. They are just trying to just scam you. I mean i don't know which project can surly say that kinda line. ICO invest is really old for me now. You can try IEO if you like other wise you should wait until coins down 90% then buy for good profit (Only if that project is good)

this is nothing new in the world of crypto loss nearly 90%.
I will continue to endure and leave the project to ashes.
than selling it with a loss of up to 90%.
That's our fault in general is always unmindful of current market movements, to share experiences, please pay attention to the price of the token that we hold so that we can make a decision before experiencing a deep loss, and before investing, we must know the token function that we have. That knowledge so that the price of tokens does not fall on the market.

95-98% reduction in the investment value is very common in crypto field. I had such experience in one of the most popular project. That's the most expensive lesson for me.

If there is such a steep decline, then the chances are that the project was a scam. Either the tokens were over-priced by 10 to 20 times of their fair value, or the promoters fooled the investors in pouring their money in to something that doesn't exist in reality. As I have seen in many of the scam ICOs, the investors dump as much tokens as they can in the exchanges and flee crashing the prices by 95% or more. In such cases, there is no point in either making a new investment with that particular token, or holding on if you have them in your wallet.
