The only thing that I can see that Bitcoin needs to improve is its scalability. Because if Bitcoin wants to be the first digital currency, then it should accommodate or simply increase its block size per transaction. I don't have any questions about its security because I know blockchain is nearly impossible to get hacked.
That’s a very subjective question. It all depends on what you want bitcoin to be.
Do you want it to be an easy way to send money to people without a nanny (bank) looking over your shoulder, analyzing everything you do and sending a report to the government about your actions? Would you like to be able to send money around the world without paying an oppressive dictatorship (bank) for the privilege of doing it? Then don’t change anything because bitcoin already does that.
Are you more interested in atomic swaps between cryptocurrencies? Then you need to support Lightning network development.
Do you primarily want bitcoin to be a vehicle for enhanced features like decentralized crowdfunding and distributed exchanges? Then you need to support projects like Omni Layer.
Do you have one specific requirement for your cryptocurrency like buying illegal drugs, guns, supporting terrorists, secretly paying prostitutes? Then you need to drop bitcoin and support altcoins like Monero.
Are you in love with your bank, your government and hate decentralization? Would you really like to modernize the banking system and help them speed up the oversight of your pathetic little life? Then you need to support Ripple.
Bitcoin can work for its originally intended purpose right now without any “improvements”.
When I first came to this forum there were no altcoins. I believe every time another altcoin is born it dilutes bitcoins user base slightly. You are asking me to give you something for free. You're not paying so you can’t modify the rules. Maybe someone in the altcoin section will do the same thing someday. If you borrow my car for free instead of renting it you can’t bitch because I won’t let you smoke cigarettes in it. this question is way too complicated, I don't think there are many people who can answer it. I would just add that bitcoin is improving all the time. Some days ago they upgrade bitcoin blockchain. it increased the speed of thransactions and made them cheaper.
Bitcoin needs to innovate drastically to stay up to date with the current market otherwise it risks the challenge of getting dethroned from the number one position, as there hasn't been much development happening on the bitcoin network apart from the lightning network. It needs to fix its high transaction fees problem at utmost priority.

I think not because of another cryptocurrency that decreases bitcoin. bitcoin is indeed the king of all crypto currencies. and most other cryptocurrencies follow the movement of bitcoins. most people say the factor is from the point of transaction costs and transaction speed. I think that also makes sense. but I think the main factor is the decreasing demand factor of bitcoin. maybe that's because most people prefer cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin because the price of another cryptocurrency far below bitcoin. if the demand for bitcoin is increasing, I think it will affect the market price increase. I think what needs to be improved from bitcoin is to create something new that can make investors prefer to invest with bitcoin rather than investing in other coins. perhaps by giving bonuses to investors who want to invest bitcoin.
Everything is good with bitcoin. But one thing, I think bitcoin is to need to improve its transaction speed. The transaction is slower than other coins like ethereum and the ripple. I think there is nothing wrong with bitcoin or needed to fix with it. Bitcoin has a very high maintenance system and the fluctuations of price is cause by the demand that is normal and one characteristics of bitcoin. Bitcoin needs to improve its value's volatility. Too much volatility can cause panic and heart break for many so it would be better if the volatility will reduced. I'm not saying it should be stable, what I mean is that bitcoin should not have its price changing too many times every week or month so that people won't need to worry anymore everyday.
For me in my opinion I think theres nothing to improve in bitcoin because its already good thats why it become the king of all crypto currency. I think bitcoin has stayed stronger over the years notwithstanding the various objections it has faced. I think it bitcoin has got everything right but it would be good too if the transaction fees are lowered and transaction speed is increased. What most of bitcoin competitors are doingis to increase the transaction speeds of their blockchain and also to reduce the transaction fees. As these competitors are working on these, I think bitcoin should also continuously upgrade in oder to stay number one in crypto for long.

There is nothing to prove that bitcoin remains king, let alone bitcoin proves it. Perhaps all it takes is positive news about bitcoin, because the news about bitcoin is just an inexpensive news I think.
Bitcoin needs to improve transactions per second so that more peoples could able to take part in block chains and bitcoin would become famous. And second thing is to increase the no of bitcoins so that more peoples could able to work and to make bitcoin more stronger.
