Topic: What does it mean when project has more than one smart contract? (Read 305 times)

They only way a project can have two smart contract wallets is when they swap from one to the other base on a certain reason, or a scammer making the copy of the original tokens to scam the unsuspecting investors.
One was for testing another one is unlicensed and third is official licensed. So I would like to think.

well , its confusing , u know what ?
we can say one of them a scam contract if the creator is different , but in this cases, both of it created by same address, wich mean i dunno what the plan behind it.
also it created in the same day, what the hell is it ?
hey OP , did u asked why they created 2 smart contract ?
and did u checked already ? i mean , probably on their whitepaper have some info about it.

This is his answer and I do not know why but he wanted to discuss this matter on DM not on official telegram channel. I think that everyone should know the reason behind that many smart contracts.

So as you can see his answer doesn't explain anything.
Honestly I do not know what to do. I do not want to waste again dozens of hours on translating whitepaper for scammers.

@Flangler, it is obvious that the admin who is trying to get info from the team is yet to give you an accurate answer.
He should say something about other two smart contracts. If they are coming from scammers outside the team, they should do something about it, but if it is from them, then something is suspicious.
It is better you ficus on a legit project that you are sure is not scam, than to keep working for a project you are in doubt of.

This explain almost everything to me. I will stay out of this project but I think the rest people also should know about this. I would open scam accusation but I think this is not enough.
that looks  strange but for me that's too early for you to scam accusation because you can't prove if that contract belong to the team. that needs more solid proof.
Those contracts are not yet used by the team and it's too difficult to determine whether those contracts belong to the team or not. At least you must wait until there will be a contract that will have used by the team to send a coin to the another address.
We can trace this and this is much more solid compared with arguing those contracts are belong to the team without any transfer from all of contracts.
But it looks good to see if everyone must try to stay away from this project consider so many suspicious things around this project.

This is an old trick, they created two smart contracts to divide the Investors and Bounty hunter. Investors will get a token from the mainnet while Bounty hunter will get a token from the secondary smart contract, they do that to prevent Bounty hunter from dumping the market and locking Bounty hunter token.
Of course, they will not say it out loud afraid angering Bounty hunter, if you want to participate in it. Make sure you can afford to waste your time promoting their project for nothing.

only they will be able to explain the true reasons... but this is smelling fishy...
Maybe hidden tokens that are supposed to be dumped by devs? don't know... I would be extremely cautious after that reply on Telegram... when I have this kind of doubt I just look for another project... there are so many around that we should need to keep on doubting

i dont think they want to dump the other tokens since if they create a new smartcontract the distribution will be the same, Unless they make additional  supply of that token. And the old token will be removed in exchange if they make a new one.

Indeed, there are examples when the project created new smart contracts. But in this case, there should be no movement on the old smart contract.

At the very beginning of having more than 2 smart contracts, you should have doubted the team already. This is not a normal situation to have 3 smart contracts, without further explanation coming from them, it is a malicious action. They can't even explain why they have 3, they just give the correct smart contract.

Yeah, It's definitely confusing and have doubts about that kind of project. Well, nowadays many users here do their very best to scammed other users, hopefully each and everyone us here must aware that kind of situation. Also, be attentive and ask more questions and research of that project because in other case they do to mesmerized your mind and caught your attention in the end.

Several projects have done similar thing in the past, yet there was no problem, although, some did it to scam. However, since Javi_Anibarro has made further enquiry to get a proof, which might be a reference point in future, it can be used to give proper judgement.
The case should rest for now, until the team does otherwise.

Your post has already answered OP's question about that but so many people here are still confusing about that which doesn't make sense to see that.
They must remember if anyone can create a new smartcontract. I believe those contracts created by scammers. So many scammers these days are using this method. You have posted a valid coin but that needs additional information if smartcontract opened for the public. The token address can be issued anytime with used the same ticker.
But to verify which is the correct address must be talked with the developer itself.

I hope people in this place will not give a nonvalid assumption before try to check itdirectly. This kind of trict has already used by scammer to create a new coin and then make the supporters are feeling confusing which is a real contract.

In fact, it’s okay if there are several smart contracts.
But in this case, you should either get a response from the project team, or leave this project and forget about it. Because in this case, both smart contracts are used to manage the same token. This is alarming.

Hello
I just do not understand why QuuBe exchange hase two smart contracts?
Can some one more experienced than me look into it?
I asked them on telegram but still no answer (2 days no anwser).
1. https://ethplorer.io/address/0xaaef8b20c61feb54746a3beb86133ae3f65ae72d?from=search
2. https://ethplorer.io/address/0x8c50d40245c98c7563b4d33a59998bad912a7d4c?from=search

and creator: https://ethplorer.io/address/0xae26b2990f1a47b96e3309edee449c7036eb1d31

It seems that creator have more tokens than their total supply.

edit:One project which had two smart contract occurred to be scam that's why I'm also asking

my advice is better to leave a project like that. I see this project as a Scam project. might be normal if the project has 2 smartcontrac on two different blockchain. but if it's on one blockchain, this might be a problem. so it's better not to pay attention to projects like this.

I've experienced investing in a project who have 2 smart contract. At that time they converting their tokens into new smart contract, then we'll have the same amount of tokens and the same name but with different smart contract. The old token price become worthless and not recognized. So, i think they're just converting their tokens into new smart contracts for some reason

If both addresses are theirs, investigate. But do not get the idea that they are just scam without knowing what it is. As friends have indicated, there is only one address in the telegram. Maybe they re-created another one because there was something wrong with the first one. Besides, wait until you get an answer to your question.
