Alot of persons on this forum always advise newbies on post quality.my question is simple and on behalf of other newbies like my self is it necessary to monitor your activity and post count in comparison with your merits
Like does it mean someone with and account say
Activity;50
Merit;87
Post;51
Has more quality post or is a better poster than someone with say
Activity;100
Merit;87
Posts;150
Those numbers don't mean much the percentage of posts merited is easily manipulated by someone looking to boost merit count for an alt account.
Your numbers below:
Activity: 9
Merit: 1
Posts: 10
With a few clicks I could give you 9 merits
and you would be at :
Activity: 9
Merit: 10Posts: 10
Frankly I actually think your first post on this thread is a good post. As it points out that merit percentage for newer members can easily be boosted to 100%
Look at my numbers
Activity: 3808
Merit: 5915
Posts: 41904
6 out of 41 is a 14% merit percentage.
easy to jack up
but 5915/41904 is also 14% merit percentage. And it is easy to see I will never get to 100% merit percentage.
Its also easy to see I do not need a merit (this can cost me merits).
If you have 4 merits to give and a newer guy has a old post and I have a good post you may pick the newer guy.
I think your question could be seen as a good post as it is addressing merit percentage as a guide to good posters.
I also think my answer is a merit worthy.
In both cases we may not get any merits.
