Op, DCA's a good strategy, so I think it's good that it's the one you're employing.
This forum has different people, and of course some are afraid of investing in Bitcoin, unsure about its future, but I think most people here aren't like that.
Bitcoin, like any investment, is a risk. There's no guarantee that it will recover this time as it did before, or that at some point in the future it won't stop recovering. Investment also requires money, which some people don't have.
Now, to answering your questions.
I try to save up some of BTC because I believe that it's a better choice than fiat, considering that Bitcoin tends to grow in value over time, whereas fiat gradually loses its value by design. I'm used to this forum, and I like that I can learn new things here and see people with very different opinions trying to explain their views. I look at the merit numbers, to be honest, when it comes to evaluating the claims people make, but of course it's not a perfect system. And here are some reasons an accomplished person might stop using the forum: a person may die, lose access to account, become not interested in discussing cryptos online

Also I have come accross some profile been inactive for some time while some totally stopped contributing to the forum. Dont know thier reasons or challenges but i know there is a reason for all that. I dont want a day to come where i would stop contributing positively to the forum.
It's inevitable whether you wish for such day to come or not, just like other members before us we will at different phases in our lives wage goodbye to the forum. What you should be concerned with is that if for any reason you're leaving the forum let it be for a project or achievement greater than what you're getting from the forum.

Or perhaps you mean to still be participating and active in the forum but no longer dropping impactful and useful contributions. I question that possibility because it is said that, "the older the wine the sweeter it gets".

I’d like to know what motivates you to invest in a speculative asset like Bitcoin?
Being a speculative asset with volatility bitcoin offers financial opportunities and act as an alternative currency that is somehow a  building block against  inflation.
I think anything that can offer me self custody and privacy to my money is worth investing in.

Upon knowing the bitcointalk forum, I started to learned a lot about bitcoin that it could be the best source of anticipating financial security in the future. Not because it’s the high price that keeps it ahead from other investments, but because bitcoin is simply our future, and not fiat that is completely controlled by the government. And I know by making myself updated about bitcoin, I have to stay and keep valuing the forum as well. And those who owned successful stories about bitcoin made me more motivated to learn from them.

However, on answering why do some members stop contributing in the forum, I don’t think they really stopped. Probably they are just waiting for the perfect topic to share in the forum that could leave a huge impact on the newbies and even on the high rank members as well.

Only Bitcoin that provide decentralization, security, and privacy, that's why I always accumulate every satoshi.

You forgot one thing: profit, it would be a lie if someone said they need bitcoin because it brings decentralization, privacy, and security but not profit. There are still some people who only consider bitcoin as currency, but they are rare. Profit is one of the important factors and many people even consider it the top factor for them to hold bitcoin.

Since I'm a Bitcoin holder, this forum is the best place to see OGs' posts and people who discuss about Bitcoin. There's a difference between active (login) in this forum and active (posting) in this forum. Obviously I actively posting because of the project I currently promoting, but even though I might not wear paid signature, I believe sometime I will visit this forum.

I participate in many social networks, many cryptocurrency communities, but if someone is looking for a good place to discuss everything related to bitcoin, bitcointalk is the most informative and useful place that I would recommend for everyone's reference.

I’d like to know what motivates you to invest in a speculative asset like Bitcoin?
For me or to me, every asset is speculative, talk about gold, talk about silver, talk about company shares and so on, they are all speculative as long as their prices or monetary values are not static but changes from time to time, even the fiat currencies speculative as most of them still go up and down against other fiat currencies, and this is why we have the forex market available for people who would like to make profit off this unstable prices.

So if we invest in all of those assets i mentioned above, then why shouldnt we invest in Bitcoin?, if you are not investing in a speculative asset, will you rather invest in an asset that is ultimately stable in price?, how then will you make profit?

What is the driving force that encourages your continuity in the Bitcointalk forum?
Aside Signature campaigns which i have always seen as a bonus for being active on this forum, my driving force is simply nothing else other than my love and involvement in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, anyone doing any type of business will like to be where other people doing the same business are, so that he or she can learn a thing or two from those who are more experienced that he or she is, and he or she can also teach those that he or she is better than.

So for someone who has a business in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, where else would such a person rather be, if not on a forum like this, to meet and discuss with people of like minds.

What do you think are the reasons why some person stopped contributing to the forum positively or are they carried away by the rank they have?
How would i or any one else know?, except they reach out and tell us why they are longer or stopped being active here, we wouldn't know, many people stop being active here for several reasons,
Some get banned.
Some get a new job that is time consuming and no longer have time to spend on this forum.
Some made a lot of money and become too busy living life and forget this forum.
Some started a new business, or become a CEO to a business and no longer have time to spend on this forum.
And the most heartbreaking is that, some died, passed on, and that is why they are no longer active here.
ETC.

Sometimes i just fell like quitting or i feel i am doing the wrong thing even if at some point my investment on bitcoin works well as i only practise on stratey dcaing scince i got into Bitcoin lately. I have seen most topics on the forum about Bitcoin and the Bitcoin forum. Such like fear of investing in bitcoin, some investment strategies being a mental challenge and to mention a few.

If you read through those topic you will see different views and opinion from members of the forum and most times you just feel if your doing the right thing all this while or it your just going in on luck. I dont want to say am confused because i have read and learnt in the past few months much of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk forum and i have shared some resources to help other members from where i learnt from.

I think that btc is suitable for long-term hodling, and I'd rather not call it an investment - it's more like buying something valuable. It's nearly impossible to get some profit out of short-term cryptomarket deals, especially if the money amounts are not so high (due to trading fees). So, in general, btc is a good "hodling-investment" tool, but it is not suitable for trading...
When you buy something and expect its value to increase over time, it is also called investing.
It is true that holding bitcoin long term is simple and suitable for the majority, but saying it is not suitable for trading is not correct. Bitcoin is very volatile, so it can be said to be very suitable for trading, because more volatility creates more opportunities to make profits. Just because you can't make a profit from trading doesn't mean others can't either, many people are making quite a profit trading bitcoin.

What motivated me to get into Bitcoin in 2013 was to be able to pay a program which turned out to be a Ponzi. Sad but am sure am not alone with this story. I then later on learned this forum and I participated and then learned a lot of many things good with Bitcoin in particular and crypto in general. Right now, I only have a small amount of Bitcoin and some Ethereum too. I believe that Bitcoin is still the future as more and more people will be experiencing more instability financially...soon we can see many events impacting the global set-up and Bitcoin is going to be the best way to protect one's assets.

It appears to have been a bad experience for many of us at the beginning of our journey. Despite your bad experience with bitcoin you chose to stay with the industry. This is a positive outcome for the community as it shows your commitment towards bitcoin despite your past challenges. The potential of bitcoin is undeniable and those who recognize this remain in this industry.

For me, the reasons of financial security/independence won't just do as am stating my motivation to continue in this forum and Bitcoin as an investment, because the interest in the knowledge of cryptocurrency led me to first understand and be able to distinguish Bitcoin from other coins and also Ponzi schemes as at the time.

I have been more encouraged too unlike everyone who is in any campaign, from the earnings, even if it is the smallest piece of cryptocurrency here. I can't stress how high the poverty level and interest rates of commodities and living is in my country right now.

I have been able to keep my brain young by reading and contributing where necessary and I know how energized and how encouraged to go on I feel, after learning a new interest or from discussions leading me to do my own research.

The same things that motivate anyone to invest in a speculative asset are achieving a good return. Everyone has a normal life, but today’s lifestyle makes jobs provide you with money to provide the basics and a little excess money to invest. You can invest in traditional investments, but you will find that you need dozens of years to build something. Valuable. For example, in my country, you need to work 5 years to buy an apartment, and if we count the costs of daily life, it may take up to 10 years.

You must have self-motivation to continue using the forum, just as happens with Instagram and TikTok. If your motive is only profit, you will find that the quality of your participation decreases over time.

If your journey is a learning journey, you should not listen to anyone. Listen to everyone and form your own convictions.

Just understand that this forum is like other social media platforms and people at some point will get tired of participating in discussion on the forum especially when there are no new things to discuss like during the bear market the activities of the market are mostly silent so some people might just take a break from the forum and others have different reasons why they stopped been active here. Some users mightn't have much free time anymore due to their engagement in the real world. Could be a new job or new life experience like getting married and having to look after the children and other reason best known to them so we shouldn't be bother about those who have left but concerned about those who are still here.

Honestly what drive my interest in Bitcoin is the high rate of poverty in my country, while I was still a student I was looking for an alternative measure to make money then stumbled upon Bitcoin from a failed investment that was built around ponzi scheme but looking at Bitcoin, you can immediately see that it was different and unique. Fear of poverty motivated me to invest in Bitcoin because I was looking for financial stability but what has made me stay is the uniqueness of Bitcoin that can't be gotten from other assets. Its potential of been a global currency is also one of the reasons why I'm still here because I want to be part of history while been an early adopter.

Well, I kind of invested time and effort into bitcoin to earn, so at the end, I will still invest in bitcoin by either trading, flipping, or doing any kind of work to earn through bitcoin. And also, at this time, investing in bitcoin is a good idea as it has a lower price, which is good because if I have a good prediction, I could make a lot of money.

There's a lot of opportunity here in the forum, as well as knowledge that you could get simply by browsing and reading interesting topics. I could also get the opinions of the other members in this forum, which could be useful to me in the near future.

I can't deny that this forum platform provides an opportunity not only for extra income but also for the knowledge and opinions that other communities provide here on the topic in question. There are only two things to discourage or encourage anyone entering this platform.

If there are others who no longer continue in this forum, maybe their goal is to get a job here by participating in the signature campaign that will be paid every week. When they saw that they had to rank up their account here, they discovered it was not that easy to do now because of the merit requirements. And if they participate in bounty altcoins, there is no guarantee that they will be paid, or maybe there is something else.

Reason why I stayed with bitcointalk forum instead of Twitter or Reddit or other sources was because when it came to mining you had the best help.

I started mining in 2014 or so and had no idea what I was doing. There wasn’t too many websites for help because it was fairly new back then. Only bitcointalk forum had an active mining community and you got help quick if you ran into any issues. And basically stayed since then.

I am a techie and a gear head.

I was modding apple mac minis and selling on ebay 2005 to 2012. That ended when apple locked down the mini and made mods too hard.

So I had lots of parts and moved into pc building. I looked for a way make my pc sales as good as my mac mini sales I realized that selling mining-gaming rigs would work well back in 2012.

So I approached btc as a marketing tool for building my gear.

This kept me in the loop up-to 2017. Once we rallied to 19.5k I became a believer in BTC as the lead not the gaming - mining pcs. I still deal with a lot of gear but I mine semi commercial and earn steady btc that way.

I'm sure there are many reasons why someone continues to contribute positively to a forum or stops.
If the account owner has activities outside the forum/work problems in the real world, is on holiday or has passed away, of course this is their own choice. As for those who still remain in the forum, their accounts are always active and provide positive things on the forum, perhaps because they have more time in the real world, actually they also do things related to the forum, have responsibilities on this forum, have work on the Bitcointalk forum.

Forums and Bitcoin in my opinion are very relevant. There is a lot of positive information that can be obtained in forums and we can apply it in investing in Bitcoin, and it will produce results.

In my opinion, Bitcointalk has a positive influence on forum members, in terms of information and even jobs and projects.

I’d like to know what motivates you to invest in a speculative asset like Bitcoin?
I don't feel that Bitcoin is a speculative asset because gave me a lot of profit some time ago. So if you think Bitcoin is a speculative asset, It definitely won't have a positive impact on your life. But now, you will see people and the members who joined and understand Bitcoin, has changed their life significantly before knowing that asset. Bitcoin has changed everything and can give you benefits if you believe that asset is the future.

I also made the mistake of just viewing bitcoin as a speculative asset and selling it when I had enough profit. But only now, I realized that was my big mistake, bitcoin is not a short-term speculative asset but it is a future asset with great potential. So I started accumulating more bitcoins instead of selling them for small short-term profits.

What is the driving force that encourages your continuity in the Bitcointalk forum?
We cannot deny that money and income is one thing important here. sometimes I feel lazy to post and answer questions from members here, but if I think I will receive income from what I say and post, that's a big motivation that can push me to think out loud to resolve the problem.

Invest in bitcoin or continue participating in the forum, it's all about money. I will also not hesitate to admit this because money is something we all need today. So it's no surprise that everyone's goal is money.
