What i see as the reason for people getting discouraged in investing in bitcoin is the thinking that the price may keep going down and as a result their investment will be lost. This can mainly happen to the people who have no knowledge of how bitcoin works.
I think it may be because the price of botcoin is unstable and the final price is decreasing so one of the reasons for fear for investors who want to invest in bitcoin all investments is definitely at risk so I think the unstable bitcoin price is making investors afraid to invest in bitcoin

What scares me the most at the moment is all of the shitcoin cryptocurrencies getting their algorithm hacked/abused to gain allot of coins with mining. After that they are getting dumped like crazy for BTC and cashed out for Fiat wich lowers the price of bitcoin. And causing a downwards trend for the bitcoin. Apart from that there is still to much news from exchanges getting hacked wich make new investors scared to join in.

agreed, the factor that is still considered the biggest risk of this investment is the government ban on bitcoin investment. indeed the government does not prohibit it, but they have responded that it does not advocate bitcoin investment because of the very high risk of loss. but if we learn bitcoin first I think the risk of losses can be minimized.
