It looks like you understood gambling completely wrong way because gambling is not for making an easy money but you can easily lose all your money gambling. To become a millionaire you should have such a big amount to bet and if you lose that big amount than instantly you can lose that money. So it is not advised to go with bigger bets but you can try your luck with a smaller amount and have a fun with these gambling games.
Alot of people get the wrong idea with gambling including myself in the past. I wont blame people for that because I was like that as well. Wtihout gambling, the world as we know it would become less exciting. Gambling for me is something recreational and as long as it doesn’t do me or anybody else any harm, I wouldn’t think of it as a negative thing. Gambling is ok but the gamblers who tend to play or gamble well beyond their limits are the ones who should change their ways.

He have a book-like of strategies and keep on playing calculated bets. It is really hardwork. He even taught me but I didn't survive

I guess that your friend really take gambling as a business, as a way to earn big amount of money. But yeah, teaching you by his technique and strategy on gambling can't assure you that you could also experience the luck that he is having everytime he do gambling. You might want to try another way, like Trading or Investing, it depends on your passion though.
