Our engineers are continuing to investigate a persistent database issue and we are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

Is that Bitcoin-esque for "There's been a serious hack, and we're doing everything possible to figure out how Mark Karpeles hid such an event so that we, too, can move forward with limited funds on hand."?

Seemingly no as they're back online now, I wouldn't advise anybody to leave large amounts of bitcoin on an online wallet.
Apparently they don't have your private key (unsure how true that is) & you can print a sort of paper wallet version yourself with your private key, if they're down as long as you have your private key you should be able to swipe the bc.i wallet clean into another wallet.
Again I'm unsure if this works.

they are facing some internal database error, you can't access wallet balance or check blockchain tx history.it should be fixed soon

What? I just logged into my wallet and saw all my earlier transactions. It might have been a problem earlier but it's working just fine now.

Maybe it works in one country, but not another. I'm still getting this message.

We Will Be Back Shortly

Blockchain.info is currently down for maintenance

They might have different servers for different areas of the world. A few hours ago I was getting an error message and others couldn't view the site at all.

Just visited the site now and I can see the login screen but after few seconds all HTML tags reading the site is under maintenance started popping up. Looks like they are changing some features but it's taking too long.

Just check their Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/blockchain

I just tried to logged in and saw about a one second screenshot of data with the word passwords at the top. Hopefully what I saw were salted alphanumeric text. I refresh and couldn't recreate what I saw. Not sure if a different browser would work. Hope the team's on it!

I don't see any issues with blockchain. I logged in my account without any issues. Why is everyone else getting an error?  Undecided

the site is under maintenace now  but
what about blockexplorer ?? Huh
it's working but when i serch for an address not working.

blockchain facing problem with that database server so that is why the block explorer is not functional there so you can try the alternate service for block explorer https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC,
that site is up and working without any issue.

They have problems every now and then. No blockchain.info is not the "official" anything of Bitcoin. No, when blockchain.info is down that does not mean that Bitcoin is down.

I would suggest getting familiar with other block explorers then just blockchain.info, a few suggestions would include:
walletexplorer.com
blocktrail.com
blockr.io

among others

What I'm seeing is "Site under maintenance." So my guess is that they know about the problem and are working on it. No worries about the Bitcoin network though; as far as I can tell, it's still there.
