Its also not easy to trade the cryptocurrencies because many exchangers seem to have problems.

Regarding your question, it is indeed a market correction. But I think it's temporary. Sometimes there is a whale that cashes out a big chunk of btc and that brings down the price and then panic ensues. Now the whale has the chance to buy cheap coins.
Or after touching $ 5000 triggered a sell order?
