Regulation and legal disputes happened. And they got what they deserved! There was a thousand warnings here and there stating it's a scam and people must stay away.
There a huge quantity of a financial pyramid or Ponzi scheme here in crypto. Even good not scam projects are overbought here;) Just need some good timing to come out before it will fall)

Happened what should happen long ago, but for some reason laster for a year. Everyone knew its a ponzi but still decided to take there chances. So now we have what we have..

Obviously it turned out to be a ponzi scam scheme. Actually there were some warnings from Buterin and Lee, founders of cryptocurrencies, back in December. The first warning was from Michael Novogratz back on Nov 30 in his Twitter.

BitConnect was nothing but, was a Ponzy scheme from the get go.
Many people realize this, but think they are clever and will get away before the crash. Well, I hope they have learned their lesson.

The marketing and affiliate programs for BitConnect follow a pyramid scheme, based on multi-level referrals. Also, markets for BCC are not free and have only one price pressure, the acquisition of more BCC to participate in the affiliate returns scheme. Accused of being a scam site that was giving away massive commissions that's not practically possible. Many did predict that it would shut down soon!

I heard they have returned the investments of their Users. Returning all of the money from the lending platform. But that does not qualify not to call them as a ponzi scheme.

Its crash the way he supose to be. Ponzi will be ponzi just matter of time. There like a hundred post in this forum tell that bitconnect a scam.
Whales are setting up some traps for the small fishes,dont bite the bait,bitconnect ponzi scam was officially closed their operations few days ago.
It's so weird to see that some people are still investing in it. I guess some people don't do any research whatsoever.
