The question is, what happens when they stop buying?  It's possible these big whales might at some point reach there limits or for some reasons they might stop buying and just decide to keep holding or maybe sell there bitcoin at the point. what's going to be the fate of Bitcoin in that instance?
Always apply the law of supply and demand. If there are fewer buyers then the demand will be lower and that will result in a lower price of Bitcoin. Although this is very unlikely that they'd stop buying because we're still here, the shrimps in the big ocean of this market will buy all of those cheap Bitcoins then.

But with halving and ETFs, I don't think that the demand will be even lower this time because we're on the cycle and this is gonna be a bull run. And if they decide to sell Bitcoins, it's still the same thing, there will be more supplies in the economy that will result in cheaper BTCs too.

While with this kind of situation, maybe we'd get some view of it on the bear market but that's going to take time.

Buys and sells of bitcoin plays a great role in ascertaining how bullish or how bearish Bitcoin is and when the big whales buys Bitcoin, it lends an assured sense of legitimacy to Bitcoin, provides liquidity to the market and  goes a long way to improve the overall market sentiment which will go on to influence bitcoins price positively.

Basic answer is there would be a slow demand will come up with bitcoin and that possibly can affect the price of bitcoin to rise. Or maybe this will cause a decline for sometime since people might think about that there's something wrong happening on bitcoin since the whales is departing so it can possibly create some panic attack to a lot of people holding bitcoin for some instances.

Hopefully those scenarios on your mind will happen since we will see a long drought for bitcoin since it will wait for surge of demand before it rise up again.

But I doubt this scenario will happen since those institutions or whales will not drop bitcoin since this is already been established investment for them and I believe they can earn more rather than spending their wealth on other type of investment.

The market has buyers and sellers, big and small investors, traders with different capital size and order sizes they can put for purchase and sell on the market.

Price in the market is decided by balance between buyers and sellers and their capital that is shown in trading volume and price will move upward or downward if balance between buying and selling leans toward one side.

The market will be alive, not dead. Price as said, will move up or down, depends on Demand and Supply Principle. If demand is higher than supply, capital from buyers is bigger than what sellers are ready to sell, price will move up. Oppositely price will fall down and it is what we will see when whales stop their buying, start to sell, and retail investors can not absorb selling pressure from whales.
