This is an infant currency. It isn't near as stable as the normal stock exchanges. It will ebb and flow much more widely and the best bet is to either hang on for the long ride, try to play the market, or get out and watch from the sidelines.
It is quite normal to happens to any form of cryptocurreny specially when it would experience an fork to improve the system in form of transaction. Actually it is not a bad thing, it is really an opportunity for people to start on investing to Bitcoin because it could increased its price after the successful fork.

Bitcoin may be on its way down to $1,170. Due to the 94% drop rule. From an ATH, Bitcoin has a habit of dropping 94%. 19,500 * 0.06 = 1,170. This would really suck for me and a lot of others, but it most certainly is possible.
it is mostly because of the bitcoin-ban-FUD that is being spread all over the internet combined with whales dumping on the exchanges. the ground work is also there with the bubble crap they have been spreading all these past weeks and with the stupidly high fees people don't believe in bitcoin anymore.

high fees or more accurately increasing fees like this is a feature and it is actually a defending mechanism against spam attack and it is a good feature to have in order to prevent (at least some spams from happening) but it is also annoying because with increase of adoption fees will also go up because at some point (which we are currently past) there will be more transactions than there is block space.

Good, at this time bitcoin price is reduced more then their past price not more then this happen, You should know that bitcoin price is volatile and its not necessary that price will always increasing but price will be up and down with time according to the condition of market. This Panic selling can happen everytime for a lot of newbies or new investors without proper learning about bitcoin in the past prices movement and have been drag by whales and shake them by making huge withdrawals. They can easily be pull down by a simple rumors or bad news and the group is buying on dip. And noobs lose half or all of its investments because of this.
At this time what happens to Bitcoin is a price reduction that is much different from the previous price.
This is due to the bitcoin issue that bitcoin is being banned in some countries, and the china's government will regulate the mining farm because it consumed too much electricity, in my country the government has realesed the regulation of the bitcoin that transaction with bitcoin inside the country is forbidden. I don't know if you holding bitcoin is also forbidden, i'm just thinking that it isbour right to holding something that we want to hold especially some precious thing.

It just a ordinary scene in January phenomenon because there a fake news around the corner of the world including the banning of cyrpto in korea and china. Bitcoin will surely on to the moon in just next 2months.

Bitcoin is now facing on crisis that most people do not expect. Many ask what is happening in the bitcoin they trust. Bitcoin now faces the upsurge of crisis, dropping or losing bitcoin. I also do not think it will go down and be as bubbly. It's just normal in bitcoin to decrease its value. Others think that it's gone. They continue to fall .. They're too negative. Let's pair our positivity so Bitcoin likes to come back.
Every year is happening same movement. But where will Btc return this time .
Agree, i have notice that also. When i check the previous chart from 2014 up to now (current year) every first quarter of the year bitcoin keep on crashing then regain its value and mooning after few months.
This is the effect of bitcoin price role all over altcoins. Every altcoins were/ are patterned/ pattern to bitcoin dominion in crypto world. When bitcoin goes up the altcoins goes up too. When bitcoin goes down the altcoins price goes up too. Every price of altcoins pattern before bitcoin. The reign of bitcoin in crypto world will affect all altcoins as it is the leading coin ever bitcoin. In my point of view this is happening because of few investors/ buyers of bitcoin. The high price of bitcoin will come back soon.

I just hope that the lightning network will be implemented real soon since I believe it is the only way for users to regain faith in Bitcoin and will make its value skyrocket once again.
Let us be calm and don't panic what's happening is just an opportunity for investment there will be lot's of pumps and dumps but as the history of bitcoin it always manage to recover same thing with all other alternative coins so better keep on holding and trust bitcoin that everything will be ok soon. Let's just enjoy this drops while making some sort of investmenr for our futures buy alts and hold them don't do the panic selling mode.

Why would you panic if you know that sooner it will pump again? Crypto currency is always like this it will pop and it will drop, so you better be alert and be patient in it so that you will earn if you dont give up on it.
It is really scary, the low level Bitcoin went to. One thing that has been consistent with Bitcoin though, is that it always bounces back as the king. This is not a time to panic but a time to hold, and buy more.
