I am still a beginner in the crypto world so basically, I haven't earned yet a huge amount of bitcoin, so I would never buy that kind of pizza, I am into investing in bitcoin and some altcoins, and some of my earnings in bitcoin is already converted into cash and used it in some of my needs but as long as it is not important, I never pull it out and just hold it for a long term. Anyway, good luck with that contest, that would be great for those who already have bought a bitcoin pizza.

To be honest, I brought a painting to this forum via bitcoin. The painting was worth 0.5554 bitcoin way back then and I am very grateful that because of my holdings I brought a very good painting in which it is a painting of a girl who is carrying the world of bitcoin. Last year I brought a motorcycle from my bitcoin holdings in which I converted first into fiat money in order to buy it in the motorcycle shop. Bitcoin gives me a lot of things and I am very grateful to this bitcoin as it is surges now and then.

i have never bought with my Bitcoin and didn't intend to do that.  i want to collect as much bitcoin as i can collect.  making Bitcoin a long-term investment asset i think is much better than using it to pay.
What's the limit to that time that you are going to hodl your bitcoin, you shouldn't make it a really long time, remember to always get some profit when there is an all time high in the market prices, it helps that youget to enjoy what you are hodling once in a while. I spend mine on electronics the first time and built my PC along the way.

More than a decade after Laszlo bought his pizza, I still can't buy a slice with my Bitcoin here in my place. I hope I can soon. Well, at least I can pay some of my bills with Bitcoin.

Anyway, this is a great initiative to celebrate the commemoration of the first ever purchase using BTC. I hope this story will be taken more as a success story than a story of regret. This is one of the most memorable milestones of Bitcoin. As such, Bitcoin Pizza Day brings a beautiful story to remember.

Is the site still online? I am getting a Cloudflare Error 523 when I try to visit it.

Regarding purchases made with bitcoin. I occasionally spend a few coins when I am on holiday. I have spent bitcoin on airline tickets and accommodation in the past. I am not a big fan of carrying bitcoin with me when I travel because most of it is in cold storage.

A tech shop near my place of living has started accepting crypto a few months ago. Since my TV is starting to show the occasional stuck pixel here an there, it's time for a change. A new TV is going to be my next investment.

I haven't bought anything tangible yet except for altcoins. Reinvesting bitcoin into other altcoins maybe the best futuristic experience we may have. The reason is when the worth of bitcoin we spend in buying the commodity or goods increase in the next few years, the feeling of regret may show up like the pizza story now at a worth of $600 million lol. I think buying altcoins is what I can go for now.

Submitted my story too, let's see how it goes Smiley Would be really interesting to read other stories, too. It corresponds to the topic I recently start about paying for things with crypto, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/why-people-are-scared-to-use-their-crypto-5335076

Interesting contest, although I'm somewhat surprised that Random.org is used instead of something based on a certain block hash, as it should be done in any bitcoin-related contest...

Hi, Bitcoin fans

Did you know?
Bitcoin was first used to make a purchase in the “real” world by Hungarian programmer, Laszlo Hanyecz on May 22, 2010.
He bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC, which were worth about $30 back then Smiley Today these pizzas would cost about $600 million!

Since then this day is known as Bitcoin Pizza Day.
And it started right here in Bitcointalk. Check Laszlo’s thread here: Pizza for bitcoins?

How about you? What have you bought with BTC?

If you want to share it, you can take part in the exciting Pizza Day Story Challenge!

1. Post your Bitcoin story on Twitter or Instagram
2. Share it on pizza.io site
3. Include hashtag #pizzaio and tag @BitcoinPizza_io

What’s in it for you?
A slice of pizza? No Smiley But a slice of something bigger, if you're lucky Wink

Go check it out >>> pizza.io

Cheers,
Karl
