Why would someone buy 33 GPUS? unless he wants to produce nuclear power (i heard it is possible somewhere...)

33 GPUs only need about 8 KW per hour. Possible to run in your house, In fact, it is heat power required to heat small house in winter  Smiley

How about noise, I think 33+ fans produce quite a lot of decibels!

If you have a smell it is because your temperature is too high, or you have 5970 cards. Those are boiling hot

Hah hah, I have four 5970's, and they do run hot. I am mining Litecoins on my GPU's and of course BtC with my ASICs. What else could I do? And, it's just a hobby. I have a real job.

To decrease temperature, do not overclock your GPU's too much.

It won't help much, undervolt would help even more...

I'm mining scrypt but the real purpose of my miner is space heater.

My apartment lease does not allow for space heaters. Fire Risk.

There's nothing in there about a cryptocurrency miner running 2 7970s. I plan on expanding it with two more 7970s. My total electric bill is around $60. I have not once had to turn the heat on this fall and this winter, after expanding, I doubt I will have to.

But I hate the smell that GPU produced. It smells like something is burning...

Awesome, only real men use GPU rigs to mine Coins!

We need some Picture`s

I have to take some first, but there's not much to see besides some cards and a dirty cellar

Or you could rage and throw them off of your window  Cheesy

The advnage of GPU is you can resell these as long as you dont burn your GPU  Smiley

It is still good for litecoin, and some other alt-coins, which are profitable multiple times more than bitcoin. And you can sell them for gaming too

And even if you burn, if you bought from the right manufacturer, it gets replaced in 2 or 3 years timeframe. Most of the asics don't have any warranty

I am still using some, 33 cards, 7950 and 7970 mixed, to mine alternate coins.

whats your cost and return?

I am not counting on them in that fashion. They have paid for themselves four times more than they were paid for, and even now, they pay for the electric power they use and they make some profit, and in these days of price climbing, they made great profit since I was keeping btc for USD 150. If you think of buying cards now, don't do that. Most likely, you won't make the investment back, unless there is some crazy alt-coin to mine wiht 20 times profitability, or you are lucky and you keep the right alt-coin and sell it when it gets pumped.
It will work for me, the road to it might be long but my power is free so..

Free power. I would be rich if my power was free all these years

I still minig scrypt coins with my rig, and based on difficulty many more doing the same. Once you have the GPU you can keep mining as long as your profitable
