Well, learning is learning and it counts to towards improvement as you beat your formal self and knowledge by some quota. Although, on a forum such as this, the key message is bitcoin and all things cryptocurrencies. The forum has been divided into several boards to ensure that, one could have a focus as the needs applies, easy to discuss and one has just got to pick a board that needs a better understanding on.

There is no point, being on the forum, getting so used to the ethics and how to participate in discussions and yet, your ignorant on all things bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. That would be a big error! I understand that, its a step by step progress and as such haven't been fairly acquinted with the forum, you could direct your focus towards an improvement on your crypto knowledge.

Learning the forum rules is not enough for you bruh,  learn more about wallet and how to secure your wallet,  learn bitcoin and cryptocurrency.  The purpose of the forum is to learn new things about bitcoin & cryptocurrency  and how it is affecting the world,  Learning the forum rules is good but their are other things you need to learn in the forum that is more than a forum rule. I made a decision that every of my login into the forum I must try to learn something new from any topic in any board.

The 3 point are good improvements a person can make with or without the help of bitcointalk forum. This a bitcoin forum, one of the biggest bitcoin forums on the internet. One thing you should be learning is bitcoin and you didn’t mention anything related to bitcoin in the original post.
Your right as I too expected some notations on the users crypto improvement as per a comparison with previous knowledge or ideas to what his or her have learned so far. Although, I didn't get to see that, its still okay to have learned how to be a good forum user. Most of the lessons and deductions in OP might not have been something OP isn't familiar with in the real word but possibly had been an issue of neglect until now.

Bitcointalk has got such formality that, users on the forum irrespective of your rank don't dare break or try to bend the rules for any reason. One who is really willing to be here has got to abide by them rules and in that, you get to understand the reasons why certain strick adherence is accorded certain societal ethics.

So, I would encourage OP not to end at being just a good forum user, of course that is good and would help you in the forum @OP but, you've got to learn about cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin, make investments and the bases to its safety less, the forum won't be of any different from the varieties out there that isn't crypto related.

1. Plagiarism: I really like this forum for taking time to find out copy and post (paste) users. I, Being in this forum and not involving myself in plagiarism will also help me in my academic activities.
Plagiarism is actually not the only concern in this forum but also in other cases or other places. Sometimes, when we are reading a long post like an article or even short information without any link sources included, we may check them on the plagiarism checker to ensure that the posts are originally made or copy-pasting from certain articles or sources. And this is easy to detect moreover right now we can use the checker easily.

2. Syntax, Sematics and morphology: English Language is a second language to me (L2), which means I am a lingua franca. That is I am not using English language fluently, there are some commas, full Stops and buts (errors) in my writings and some people correct me in my English both the "the titles and the bodies.
English is also not my mother tongue. We may not need to use the perfect of those terms, at least, we can utter our opinion in this forum and others understand what we are uttering. However, we should be also careful with some punctuation, this is standard, because seomtimes, we are not comfortable reading sentences without any punctuation. About grammar, I ma also bad enough in grammar, but we can use some tools to help us at least to make our English post readable.

3. Criticism and correction: most people criticized me and correct me again.. Criticism make me have an Eagle feathers (very strong).
Everyone here may be always got some criticises, as long as the critics are making us going better, why not? They criticize us because we made some mistakes and want us to correct it, at least, this will make us better.

All on your list are those characteristics of being a member of the forum. Although, to me it doe not really matter to learned those but having them is good for the forum.
How about the knowledge you get while you are in this forum? Related to cryptocurrency, blockchain, technicalities? It will be another long chapter to learn for you. Good luck.

I have learned a lot in this forum. And the following are some areas.

2. Syntax, Sematics and morphology: English Language is a second language to me (L2), which means I am a lingua franca. That is I am not using English language fluently, there are some commas, full Stops and buts (errors) in my writings and some people correct me in my English both the "the titles and the bodies.
We don't need to be good totally at the English language but at least we do our best to understand and can even talk like the others. However, we can find a way to improve it.

3. Criticism and correction: most people criticized me and correct me again.. Criticism make me have an Eagle feathers (very strong).

So far, so good.. these are some of the areas I have learned from the group. Mostly the number one.
And besides, not all the reason why we come here is to know how to make a profit, learn about cryptocurrency, we also learn how to correct our mistakes with the help of others. Some members criticize us (just happens to most everyone), we don't need to feel it hard but rather be thankful as they are helping us to improve and by simply listening to their piece of advice, we make ourselves going better.

Bitcointalk is just a place where you will definitely learn lots of things from different people, I believe nobody is perfect and we all learn from each other, I don't think anybody that join this forum will definitely regret joining the forum  only if you go against the forums rules and regulations. Have also learn alot of things form the forum most expecially the plagiarism aspect.

Bitcointalk is the biggest bitcoin forum as long as bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are concerned, alot of other forums have come up and tried to compete but they all failed woefully, this is because alot them can't maintain the standard bitcointalk has been able to maintain for a long period of time.
A forum as big as bitcointalk won't be were it is today without laws and regulations, the ban on plagiarism is one of the ways this forum is sanitized and kept (close to) free from spammers and also free from trouble makers, this is people who copy other people's article out there and post it here on the forum without referencing the original owners of that article, thereby wanting to bring legal trouble to the forum, I believe the Admins understand this and this is why plagiarism is highly frowned at.

Bitcointalk forum is the best, the best among the rest, this forum gives a lot of knowledge to everyone who wants to learn. And plagiarism is the best enemy here in forum even some high ranks tempt to plagiarize some text from others and copy-paste it here. About the criticism, Op is right that it makes you stronger and more vigilant

1. Plagiarism:
Yes, the BTT community condemns plagiarism in all ramifications; and rightly so. Users are advised and encouraged to put source links to every article shared which they aren't the original author. I think it doesn't cost anything to do so.

For #2, you don't need a perfect grammar.
Why so? I think OP needs that "perfect grammar" more than anything else if my judgment is correct that he's a student of the English studies department. Those who are graduates of that course should be known for their correctness of grammar. We can't water that down and treat errors from those who've certification from that field with kids gloves.

It is a need for you to have a thick skin so you can handle the criticism. I feel that too and we sometimes look down on ourselves but yes, we have to grow up and the feedback, we heard from the other forum members helps us to know that we are wrong and what we need to change.

That is for sure because we wanted to improve. So far it was good as long as we listen to advise. No hatred or whatever it is for as long as we accept mistakes. We indeed learn from our experience and a sign that we are improving.

OP, you're neglecting something important to learn. You shared your first crypto experience in 2015 which was even earlier than I started. I guess you've learned a lot since then, until I found out you were being scammed into cheap power generation via fiat transfer. This means that until this moment you've not reached one important lesson point "How to recognize fraud and avoid it" which will save you from the crime of the crypto space, which is even bigger.

Actually the achievement of having learned how to adapt in a forum is not an important thing to share. Tongue

Yes. After the first experience, I dropped the idea of learning crypto, then I took Bitcoin as a scammers business...it is now that I am getting more knowledge of it..but not yet satisfied.... even the onset. But hoping to be a great one in future

The most important thing that we learned from this forum is about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency because all the subjects and topics here are all Cryptocurrency, decentralization, anonymity, and be educated on how things work in this community, English is not my second language but so are the majority here, but I don't have a problem communicating my opinion and idea as long as within the topic, we all grow here in this forum, we just have to understand one another.

Just keep on learning, not just on your mistakes, but on mistakes others make. English may be used in international business and in some cases it may be considered a world-encompassing language (due to its accessibility), but that doesn't mean that someone who is not native to it should have perfect knowledge of it. As long as you get your point across, I'd say all is good.
