that is the main issue related to bitcoin. many people are accepting that bitcoin is banned in their country but still people from that country are still using it.
but still government is not taking any action against the those people who are using bitcoin, its mean that government is not taking the issue so serious, and there is not such a bad effect on the economy of the state,

At least in my country not like that will happen, our government is happy with bitcoin as it is giving benefit to the people and so the government will not have to take that burden, everyone is earning better with bitcoin.
yes it must be good in favour of the people but the govt thinking about this. if bitcoin is good in the favour our your country then certainly they will allow the people to use it but if they found it not in the favour of the state then they may not allow you and may banned it in future.

What if they one day Bitcoin was made illegal and governments label anyone speaking of any kind of decentralized currency a "Subversive Terrorist" or extremist allowing cops come to arrest you for speaking your mind or trying to develop technology outside their closed gardens.

Hey OP! Here's a thought for you, what if cryptocurrency was the idea of the illuminati all along?

There is no use of one government to ban bitcoin. It is a internet money. If 99% of governments ban it, it is effective.
i think it will not be good and may not be remain effective if 99% of countries really banned it. i think bitcoin is still effective and people are interesting here because some countries are supporting it. and that is the reason that the price of bitcoin is increasing day by day. no i am not agree with you. i think it is so high and sky rocket because some countries are still supporting it. i think if all the countries consider it as illegal at the same time i think the price of bitcoin will fell down to a very low level then. so pray that other countries also consider it as a legal currency. Leaving aside the illuminati nonsense, I don't see why bitcoin should be made illegal. And if some countries should decide to ban it others won't. And internet will be free. At least I hope it will remain that way.

Legality only effects those who choose to listen to the law of their land.

If bitcoin was ever made illegal then it would be time to move on to one of the 300+ other crypto coins out their. Even if it got made illegal people would still use it and places where bitcoin is banned people still use so I doubt much would actually happen other than corporate business would stop using and forced to look at other alternative crypro and move away. Would be a sad day if it really happened but cant control governments decision in making it illegal.

As long as no one owns the internet privately, they can't make bitcoin illegal. Besides, how can they make it illegal? They don't have power over it like with banks. That's the great part about bitcoin. It's freedom.

Well they won't. It's too complex to be declared illegal to be honest. The amount of users depending on BTC are too high to ask them to roll back.
Governments have much more serious issues at hand. Let them handle those first...

If the government says that Bitcoin is illegal, we as the citizen of that country could not say anything about it, we may protest, but it wouldn't be effective unless we have the majority on our side.

If the bitcoin succeeds in other countries and benefit the people in other countries, I think the attitude of the governors in your country will also change.
