We should be more concern if he's not.
At least if he's dead he can't come back with a nsa badge to laugh his ass out at our faces Smiley

Did he sign off when he was last heard of?

He mentions two impending menaces in his last two posts.  An attack by DoS, and the coming of the Swarm.

Nobody even knows if this person exists. So hard to know if he (or they) are alive or dead.

Satoshi very well could be dead. It's definitely a possibility. No one has heard from the guy in years and his coins haven't been touched.

while i would never wish ill thoughts onto him, the fact is people get hit by a bus everyday.

people get heart attacks every day, people travel to other countries and catch a bad flu and pass away in short notice, people get poisoned by jealous husbands for screwing their wives, and so on and so forth.

perhaps he is being held hostage for non-bitcoin-related reasons, perhaps he is in a federal PMITA prison serving life sentence for some non-bitcoin-related charges.

that means we will never get to know him.

It really doesn't matter.  People die all the time, and the current devs have proved themselves competent enough to continue his vision.

In all honesty, does it really matter? I've always kind of thought that Satoshi was more like a group of people than just one individual anyways.

Is it possible that Satoshi isn't actually a person or a group of people, but in fact a group of

that means we will never get to know him.

Maybe it's best nobody does. And maybe it's best most of his coins remain unspent.

Satoshi became an ideal, more or like it was/is Che Guevara.
So, doesn't matter if it's alive or not, it will always be in our hearts.

Look you do not need to know satoshi.
He initiated cryptocurrencies
he transplanted his thoughts and knowledge to other people
he very probably got rich
and he retired! - or seeking the next big thing!

you do not really need to know
just keep on evolving and spreading bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies

What are you talking about? The GREAT SATOSHI will come down from the mount with tablets of crypto hash... spreading joy to all and rules of the algorithm to maintain his blissful eternity. Satoshi cannot die and is immortalized in the blockchain to be reborn every Dec 25 as the light and the love of the world. The eternal son, satoshi.
