My own opinion is that he reemerged after realising the terrible BTC block size and transaction times so he created ETH. It makes sense.

Then your alarm clock went off honey..

You think he'd show his face to pad the bags of some scammy ICO ETH cunts ?
What he would do is pad his OWN BAGS by improving Bitcoin.
His position would be a way to get the BTC ducks in line over the block size drama.

And those of you assuming he would make a new coin.. think again.

Noticed the Litecoin dev's talking about implementing ANON features ?

Get this idiots.. you don't have to make a *NEW* coin every time your ass is itchy.

@Fraudcache
your necro-topic-bump will not help your ETH ICO scam bullshit (no one cares)

Satoshi died so he could be reincarnated as Greg Meredith to work on Synereo's R-Chain.  Get it right.

If Satoshi showed up and cashed out All of his BTC (Satoshi owns 7.5%) .

He would crash the market and he could fund a New coin with his proceeds from Price Crashing BTC.

The Price hit and the PR hit , would be a death blow for BTC, and many would run to his new coin as a safe haven.

 Cool

FYI:
Since he has not touched any of his BTC.
He is
1.  Rich and does not need it.
2.  Dead and does not need it.
3.  Is not a single individual but a group or agency behind it for their own motives.  Wink

That's a legit possibility.

This new coin will probably take many of the innovations that we've seen in other coins.

He can easily prove his identity here on Bitcointalk.

If all this happens, the media coverage for Bitcoin will be at an all time high, and could possibly multiply the current crypto users.

This new coin could probably kill Bitcoin.

This new coin will not kill bitcoin. Bitcoin already has a solid foundation and a good running economy behind it. Any new coin will have a hard time to surpass bitcoin even if Satoshi himself started a new cryptocoin. The market is already established and there are real companies that support it. That is the power of the market and the economy.

Here is a question for you. Despite the leaps and bounds for clean energy why do you think we are still dependent on crude oil?

I totally agree with this your position because even majority of the people have no idea of who Satoshi is but are very conversant with the use of Bitcoin so I dont think it will just kill bitcoin and also I dont think it will affect Bitcoin in any way. Because the exposure we have seen about Bitcoin is not really about Satoshi but about the millions of people who bought into that dream and gave it the necessary infrastructure as well as exposure. The question is will they be ready to do so again?

Ok there will be a possibility that it can over take bitcoin. But also think that the possibility you are thinking of is a little optimistic. There is also a good chance that it cannot overtake bitcoin. Because bitcoin is already an established cryptocoin and the new coin will start again from the beginning. What if no one will support it? What if the idealism of Satoshi is already gone and that the only thing driving the cryptosphere is only to make money?

@jstern. Your answer for the second question is exactly why bitcoin will not be killed by a new coin even if it is made by Satoshi. There is already too much money already riding in bitcoin and any crash will be scooped up by speculators and traders. The bitcoin mining itself has also become an industry in its own right and it looks unstoppable right now. If bitcoin will be killed, it will not be because of another coin. Bitcoin will be killed by itself thru centralization, or maybe by the collusion of miners or it could be because it might be corrupted by the people who want to control its development.

The thing is that unlike the free energy examples, this thing is decentralized, and a powerful entity is not going to stop me or anyone else from trading it in order to keep Bitcoin number one. Bitcoin will be kill, and perhaps there are powerful entities that keep it going. But if Satoshi makes a new coin, there is the possibility that it can over take Bitcoin. Maybe the chances are 1% or 50%.

It won't kill Bitcoin, but it will crash pretty hard, eventually replacing it. That's just my opinion. There a lot of weak hands that will go to this new wonderful coins in search for a profit, and they will sell their Bitcoins.

As for your second question, the answer is simple. Money, politics, and power. I've even read something about how there are hidden free, clean energy patents that the US has shut down, censored due to a national security law. That means a reporter cannot even report on it.

And it's just in your opinion and making a new coin and spreading like bitcoin it's not an easier like you're said. if satoshi just making bitcoin for killed him and why he need make bitcoin?

Because Bitcoin was the first, created in 2009. And so it doesn't have some of the new innovations that he could come up with in the time since.

How do you know she hasn't?

Maybe SHE has. But the killer thing about this coin would be that people will know that Satoshi himself created it.
