Incorrect. Segwit2x was created because miners got scared of UASF, and tried to compromise with users by merging Segwit and big blocks, but majority of users will most likely reject 2x fork. Miners have baited themselves.

what i found funny is from late 2015-mid 2017. core, wuille, gmax, luke Jr.. even with lots of drama, lots of paid for all inclusive vacations/table meetings. all the propaganda, all th rekt campaigns to attempt to make people hate gavin and others.. meaning 2 years and loads of money...

all it took was letting gavin and garzic make an implementation and within weeks changed the sheeps minds..

Bitcoin cash people stated repeatedly that segwit has a complex code and very much complicated, it means they don't have the knowledge and skills required to understand it, so they figured why the hell lets simplify this shit by forking our own coin and earn a few hundred millions in the process.

It seems segwit2x is just a bait to activate segwit, check at https://coin.dance/blocks where BIP141 gain over 99% miners support.
So, segwit2x won't implemented but segwit will be, I just hope it could resolve bitcoin problems and become scale solution to attract more adopters will join into bitcoin community. In that case, bitcoin price should be increase significantly after segwit activated, and I think bitcoin cash is just another way to create speculation to cause panic sell, if bitcoin price fall down again. At least we know to buy bitcoin whenever discount appears.

I was thinking and wonder after reading various tweets on twitter about Aug 1st . People love free Money and will do anything to get them. BTC as a whole i see it as Big players investing to drive the price higher after accumulating tons from unsuspecting noobs and forcing them to buy higher and sell lower. China used to be the FUD surrounding bitcoin but now we re way past China but need a bigger FUD to play people's emotions repeating the same Market Cycle over again.
