Yeah, there is no point in spending big money in something that is not going to work anyway, bitcoin cannot be promoted in an ad of 30 seconds, we need many words and examples in order to describe bitcoin and sometimes that is not going to be enough, so it is better to concentrate our effort on the internet where we can get free publicity, also the television no longer has the impact it had thanks to social media. TV can be good media to reach wide range of possible bitcoin users but running tv ads will cost so much and nobody want to pay those money from their pocket.
There will be no any incentive for the one who will pay for those ads. However I think we may see some tv ads in near future from bitcoin related local services in few countries to promote their services.
I think advertising bitcoin on T.V is a nice idea and it will help to spread the knowledge about bitcoin. Whatever ever type of spreading words from the masses. it is proven effective that one of the most effective way to advertise something is through showing them on televisions since most of the time people spend their rest period through watching t.v. aside from browsing on the internet which is the best possible option. You are free to do whatever you want with your money, if you want to spend it advertising bitcoin on television you can do so, I don't understand what is there to advertise, unless you're promoting it at the same time of your service there's no point to it...
The bitcoin community people want to invest in advertising about this Bitcoin in TV. So it is useful for them they will get more users, and it is profit for them. The users will not get any benefit if they spend money on advertising on TV. And no one will do that foolish job. Moreover, if you want to advertise anything on TV you need legal agreement, so this could be not possible.
This would be great for industrial developing countries, especially those recognized by governments as Bitcoins. In my country they have very little good news about Bitcoin because everyone in my country is still not aware of Bitcoin.

So if that happens, there will be more bitcoin merchants that will emerge and the price of bitcoin will probably rise. It's not that we only need to have more users of bitcoin, we also need those bitcoin merchants because they also play a big role in the price of bitcoin.

I do not think so that it would be a threat to the government and the banks. Actually banks here in our country supports bitcoin because whenever I will buy bitcoins it is either I will give the payment at the convenience store, cash remittance, or banks. Actually almost all banks here can be used to buy bitcoins. As to government it would be good because they will earn more to it. They will have another way to earn especially if bitcoins will be used by many people.

I don't think that it will happen atleast in this year , because bitcoin has officially rights to be use in limited numbers of the countries .And don't forget that we know bitcoin is good , safe , better way to make income and better way of payment worldwide but here a big thing is that it is small looking strange for many people . And many of them are saying it is useless and worst thing for the economy for a country and it is illegal it should be banned .
So here we need a better support by the network of the many countries , other wise with the advertisment in tv or any other media will not give better impact .
So here in my opinion we should wait for 3-4 year until the bitcoin get spread in the whole world's big companies , so that no one can say against bitcoin .

This was tried with the bitcoin bowl, but people still dont really understand exactly what bitcoin is and it is extremely hard to show on a short advertisement. Our best bet is to put that money into other methods which would most likely be better at bringing more people in and showing them how it works.
It is better to let bitcoin do its magic all on its own, to try to promote bitcoin that way will cost money and time we do not have, it is better that people realize on their own that bitcoin is the best option for them that way when they invest in bitcoin they will do so because they are convinced and there is not going to be any form of buyers regret. 
İ think it is good idea. By this way everybody can learn more information about BTC. TV is the most forceful broadcasting way for now. But some of the TV programs let that. The person like me and people are here don't watch Tv. That's why it is not necessary 
Advertising Bitcoin in TV is a very good way of making an awareness to the public, but looking at it, it will be very expensive and in my country it is not been looked into as something worth wasting time for, cause it really takes time.

It will not work on other cases, as if majority of people that will watched will be interested on the news content.
We just need a very big positive news in bitcoin especially with it's price. If it will be brought at the news with a nice header and title, even people who aren't interested will now spend time to see the news content. Up to that audience now if they will enter the system of using bitcoin.
