I think the most impressive thing about Bitcoin is the fact that it was created by a single person and without any funding. Today even small projects have multiple people or teams working on them and they involve investor funds, but Satoshi managed to do everything on his own! And what is also remarkable, that many people before him tried to create cryptographic currency since 90's and failed, but this didn't discourage Satoshi from trying, even when other people told him that this won't work.
We can't really say the Bitcoin project was a solo effort, but all the credit goes to Satoshi Nakamoto. To those, who have come to know the vision and ideas behind Bitcoin and its technology Blockchain, Satoshi is nothing short of a master mind and is deserving of an oscar award! What impresses me the most about Bitcoin is the fact it was actually well thought out to end up a decentralized, permissionless, trustless, borderless and censorship-resistant product. Take all that aside, the antagonists of Bitcoin with the governments as no.1, would have snuffed the living day light out of it.
