I am using Binance and Bittrex but my advise is to use offline wallet like ledger or trezor is safer than online exchanges to store your crypto currencies... Thanks

It all depends on your definition of exchange...exchanges rank in aspect of volume and security...
In volume... binance is among the best
While when it comes to security... kucoin is the best for me
And there are also exchanges that contain gems that will make one rich .. all you have to do is research!

I'm new to crypto. Every exchange I research on to buy bitcoins has a lot of bad reviews. People post that they have lost alot of money/bitcoins on most of the exchanges. Nothing seems safe
Phabej! Our friend!

To find the right exchange for you, use our tool the Exchange Finder, available here: https://www.cryptowisser.com/exchanges/

It is developed EXACTLY for people like you.

Current top list:
1. Changelly
2. Binance
3. BitMEX
4. Kucoin
5. HitBTC

Good luck!

If you want to trading you should choose good exchanges for you. There should be a low withdraw-commission, and fast withdraw. ON Okex/Qryptos you should do KYC verification. Hitbtc, Kucoin, Huobi don't need verif. Also the choice of the exchanger depends on the coins that you want to sell/buy

Well...it really depends on your criteria.

My criteria would be:
  • Fees
  • Credability
  • Paymenth Methods
  • Geographics
  • Verifacation
  • Trading Volume
  • Interface

The interface part might sound silly, but nevertheless, if you're a beginner, then it's quite important. I've actually written a blog post about best crypto exchanges - https://cryptogidy.com/best-cryptocurrency-exchanges/
I would like to point out Geographics as well since a lot of exchanges have specific rules based on the country you are living in. I hope it helped.

Use GDAX. It's probably the best fiat/crypto exchange. If you need to buy or trade crypto only, then go for Binance. It's good and it doesn't require KYC. You also can try Kucoin for alts as well. Of course, no one guarantees you 100% safety. Never know what can happen to those exchanges. That's why you should hold the majority of your funds in your own wallet you have private key to. Transfer to exchanges whenever you want buy or sell some coins. Then move money back to your own wallet.

exchange are cheap and focused on many altcoin, binance is best. But This exchange is very common situation lag if market fluctuations. there are a lot pump and dump on this exchange. In my opinion, bittrex is still good exchange, although trade fees are quite high. if you are a good trader and use margin, bitmex is the # 1 exchange

I've been using Bittrex, Kucoin, HitBTC to trade bitcoin and altcoins and I have not encountered any problems with these three exchanges. I also just tried Qryptos and it's also good. OKex has very customer service and if ever there are issues with withdrawals or deposits, they immediately handle your concern within minutes.

Always keep your coins and tokens on your own wallet and transfer only what you want to trade with in exchanges.

What are the exchanges OP that you visited? there's no perfect exchange and it all depends to your satisfactory level.

I've used a couple of exchanges like bittrex and binance, I'll not mention the others but these two were good to me.

One of the most important thing is whether your funds will be able to get through the exchange before you are able to start buying coins / tokens. And another thing is withdrawal.

I remember there is a period where all the funds too very long to go through and some even got rejected (for me is Gatehub) Having real bad experience with them and no customer service at all!

I would suggest Kraken as I had sucessfully transferred funds over without issue. If they do not have the coins or tokens you want, you can try Biannce or Kucoin. These two are my favorite exchanges for Alt coins at the moment.

Usually I will use ETH for transfer as it is faster than BTC

If buying bitcoins or any cryptocurrencies online would have been such a hectic thing, nobody would have been able to do it, everyone would be complaining only. If you've had your own bad experiences (or if not - as if you have not even tried one and came here just to blame exchanges), go through Currency exchange section of the forum here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
to get all your requirements met without the need to register at any of those exchanges you're not familiar/fine with. TBH, there are a lot of great exchanges including, but not limited to, coinbase, kraken, localbitcoins (p2p), bitfinex, bitstamp which will allow you to buy Bitcoins using credit card at a faster speed. If you're not interested in giving your identity to them, you better prefer what I gave you.

I use Coinbase. As for me, it is the best and easiest way to buy Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum with the credit card or bank account. It offers to buy and sell cryptocurrency in 32 countries, which is a quite significant amount. Also, it offers an API for developers and merchants to build applications, which makes it even easier to use.
