Don't really know what you want to know, but anyone is free to stake their address in the official thread, so in case your accounts get hacked, you can sign a message from that address in order to recover your account here in bitcointalk.
it seems that OP does not know what the function of the staked address here and for me to post the staked address is very important, many accounts are hacked here and if they never post the staked address here, the victim will have trouble getting his account back.

True, but the recovering procedure is not working : even if you show the proof that you own the account with a signed message related to ID PM messages and thread posts, none of the moderators (Theymos or Cyrus) are replying.
Personally, I never saw someone who got an answer and recovered his account back.

What is this?

Basically, a 'staked address' becomes an important part for the account sellers as well as for the buyers. For example-> Alice buys an account from Bob without a signed message from the old staked address & then becomes the new owner of the account. But there's always a chance that Bob 'll come forward in the future & sign a message from the staked addy & 'll publicly ask (an admin) for the recovery of the account. Henceforth, he'll(Bob or the seller) get the account back (rarely) & ultimately Alice(the buyer) 'll be in loss.
P.S.-> I'd like to conclude that never buy an account from a seller who isn't ready(able) to sign a message from their staked addy (atleast 3-4 months old).
