My son is a huge gamer and he has a 1080 card in his gaming machine. He says that he notices a big improvement in the game play (previous card was a 4GB card).

the best video card right now is GTX TITAN V

Though technically true, it's many times more expensive than a 1080ti, because it's made for scientific researchers and the link. One is better off getting two 1080ti. Or 3, or 4, and save money. Here are some benchmarks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0F-6yEl9QY.

If it's really for those two games and you don't care about the latest, then get the best and latest budget card, and that is the 1050ti. It will run cooler and quieter, and will be more than enough power. Could easily run games like Grand Theft Auto V with it, at a probably better than console settings.

Get an AMD graphics card, they're usually cheaper than NVIDIA's offering and also are pretty capable for the types of game you have listed.

Go for Nvidia 1050 TI. It's the best card in that price range.

If you can bump up the range for like 20$-25$ you will be able to get GTX 1060.

I think the best video card for gaming is PNY Nvidia Tesla V100 16GB. But it's more than $10.000..  So i could never play my games with it Smiley  If you say between  $100 and $ 200, i would recommend you Asus Amd RX560-O2G GDDR5 2GB 128 bit.

1050ti is solid and fits in that budget range, 1080ti is fantastic but way too expensive

I agree, get yourself a 1050ti, good price and for the games you mentioned is more than enough.
It's overkill actually

Go for R9 280 DUAL-X 384bit. I used it for 3 years without any problem and played almost everygame on Ultra. I love it but now I have 1080.
