Hey guys, do you think It is better to hold main crypto currencies like bitcoin it ether? Or you hold all your money in alt coins?

Yeah that is a better decision if you do that. If you have enough money to buy bitcoin or ethereum or more ok if you buy both then buy, don't hesitate to buy that and hold for a long term. It is the top 1 and 2 of cryptocurrency so why not?

I want to believe that choice depends on you as most people will definitely have what works best for them. Altcoin though is a highly volatile market, and unless you are holding some pretty strong coins with support, I simply prefer trading altcoins instead. However, you can split your investment. Hold more percentage in bitcoin, few other percentage in ether, and split the rest on altcoins you feel you can rely on their future potential.

I guess that depends on a person what he might going to choose because it is his choice. Yes that is true that many prefers to choose altcoin because of some reason. Maybe they are afraid to face the down side of the token. Other choose the holding system it is because they do believe that their is a chance to boom the price, they aime for high. That is the difference they choose what is better.

It is better to hold both, because many altcoins are clearly going to fail in few years, it is very less likely that people can invest in only good altcoins among the thousand of altcoins.

I guess that doesn't matter. The growth of bitcoin will lead to the growth of all altcoins. They're connected. Still, let me give you advice-it is better to buy bitcoin.

I invested all my money in altcoin in January of this year, and everyone saw it. It was a really bad experience. Now I've changed all the coins to the bitcoin.

It's not a good idea to exchange all your altcoin to Bitcoin again, I think main reason is you saw that altcoin value drop a lot than Bitcoin in few month, do you know that altcoin easy to earn huge profit when bull market start ? Don't put all your money just in 1 coins or tokens, please patience when market dip

Bitcoin and altcoin both are better to hold in long term because it is completely transparent to everyone so it will down in future we should exchange our convince platform. This year many new projects are competing in the market so all are best to hold in long term. But many peoples are afraid in current situation and some peoples are buy more coin in current dip.

I prefer bitcoin, but I will not save all my money, I will see the situation and market conditions, if I find a good altcoin, I will invest on the altcoin, I will also monitor the movement of Ethereum, if Ethereum looks better I will invest also on ethereum.

It is not true that you put all your money in one of the two. I would recommend you divide your investment at certain rates. And as a rule of gold always keep Bitcoin in your hand.

If you want a steady increase in profits then Bitcoin or ether. If you want greater returns then alts with good tech behind them. Trading alts need lots of time and research. If you have time, then surely go for better risk reward.

In hard times like this bitcoin's dominance increases. This means that people tend to trust this coin more than others and put their funds in it if not in fiat. Yet it is rather interesting that some coins are doing pretty good even nowadays. For example, EOS and TRON are holding positions. That's why I would recommend you to hold most of the money in bitcoin, but not sell strong altcoins which have already proven they don't follow the general downward trend so much.
It might also be a wise solution to just keep your funds the same they are now by selling everything and buying tether.

In my opinion, it is better to store the crypto in the ethereum or bitcoin,or in altcoins included in the top 10, than in tokens with a potential that has not yet been revealed.

In my opinion, it is good to invest and hold coins that have great potential. It is not important whether BTC and ETH or some altcoins. Then when you see a good investment opportunity just do it.  Smiley Smiley

I think it depends on an individual preference and knowledge on how to manage their portfolio. Personally, I like holding bitcoin and ether aside from being popular they are easy to manage and because I use local bitcoin app that easy to convert BTC to fiat when BTC price is rising and when the price is dipping then I easily buy it back or covert it to BTC. I can easily do the "Buy low sell high" practice using this local app. But it's also good to split or diversify your investments to minimize the losses if ever one of your investments failed.

I might be more used to holding more than 80% of my assets in altcoin and keeping the rest in bitcoin as a reserve fund because I currently trade frequently.

my suggestion is, you must to know, are you want to double your fiat money or digital assets? if you want to double your fiat, you can trade pair in USD or another fiat money and hold your fiat when you can't buy deep. If you want to double your digital assets is better to hold bitcoin or ethereum, xlm, waves and XRP. dont store your money on 1 crypto, thats the key.

It depands on your aims.
If you want to hold this crypto for years, then it is better to hold coins from top 10 (btc mostly).
But if you want to get fast money in a couple of mounths, then holding small altcoins is a good option.
But the best way to hold both, cos holding alts it riscky, and big currencies is a kind of garand.

There are altcoins that have very great potential and it is worth investing in them now that their price is minimal. I personally like Ethereum more and I prefer it instead of BTC, as well as some other altcoins .  Smiley Smiley
