I prefer both , In my experience i invested some Bitcoins in gambling casino then while i have investment i still gamble. Because once you invested you are already have a passive income or passive -negative income so you don't need to work on it. So i still gamble
but passive income can always be limited and i do not like limited income where you do not have chance to go up. you cannot increase your earning limit and will always earn a limited amount. but if you are doing trading from trading one can make unlimited income in a short time. there is not fixed limit for earning money from trading.

i think very little number of people are choosing gambling, otherwise all other people like to invest in trading. although it is a matter of interest and if a person is interested in gambling and having good experience then gambling is good option for him and if a person do not have any interest in gambling and he like trading the trading is good for him. so it is different from person to person. 
gambling is not better way to earn money because it is only for entertainment purpose but it is better to invest in a casino to get the profit or if you like and is possible for you then try to start a casino with your own money but it will require a high capital for making it with developers and then for hiring some experts for it to run and for other expenditures of the casino. Not really, you can invest in short term but you can get a good result of your expectations, also there are people who gambles in the long term but still they are not profitable. I think he mention about the bankroll investnment when you put your money in the casino bankroll and become the casinos's partners. And the casino will share the profit with you. It is more benefit and profitable because most of the Casino always win thanks to the House edge

i think everyone has their own choice. although i also make money from investment, but i think there are so many people who are interested in gambling while other are earning from lending bitcoin se we can say that every person has their own choice. When you know what you are doing, it is much better to gamble rather than to invest.
