Just like the other free coin, they might be selling their bitcoin gold because it has a value and it is up to the if they will hold it or not because in my opinion it is better to just sell their bitcoin gold and use the converted bitcoin gold to bitcoin as a capital in investing in other way or possible source of income and that will fasten their progress for sure rather than trusting a free or forked coin.

i think holding bitcoin gold coins is the best decision at this very moment it think it may settle on good price in the up coming days and sounds a good idea to invest it in some icos. good luck with that.

I don't expect a bright future for this coin. Besides, there may happen more bitcoin forks. So better wait for the best price and sell it immediately.

I am hodling, just wait until all the forks are settled a bit and winner of the bitcoin, segwit2x, bcash and btg is chosen by the market. Just don't want to make any miscalculated move that leads to a massive loss.

I will be holdi g my bitcoin gold. I wont be selling it straight away.
Look what happened with bitcoin cash this wee, up over $500 and.
I thought it was heading way down.

I think there are benefits to what the developers are doing with gold,
I want to hold and see what happens.

If everyone is dumping it, I for sure don't want to do what everyone else is doing. It's usally best to do the opposite of the crowd.
Everyone dump their garbage token with 200k pre mined token. So there is no reason to hold it rather than dump all of your bitcoin because that was a free money for you from the bitcoin gold developers.
We are having bitcoin cash and are we need bitcoin gold? and the answer must not.

Hodl? Ha ha.
Seriously, I heard you can't really transfer it until Nov 1 and the value is sort undetermined?
Can I trade mine for some other alt-coins?
I am planning to hold my Bitcoin gold and i think that Bitcoin gold can show good growth in the coming months. You can expect it's price to be around 300-400$ by end of this year. But i may dump it if the project does not show any development within an year or so.

Judging by the fact that bitcoin gold fell so sharply in price, most of its holders, having received it free of charge after the last fork, sold it quite actively. In principle, this is still the right decision, since this coin has many unresolved vulnerabilities. Only protection from repeated transactions was introduced, as promised by the developers. In general bitcoin gold has not yet shown itself.

If I were holding BitcoinGold I have to observe the market first before selling or let it stay on wallets for about a week or a month because it is just new and hope that it's price will go up high the next days and months. But it actually depends on you because it's yours and let me ask you since BitcoinGold is a newly born alt of Bitcoin, isn't it vulnerable to replay attack? I recommend you have to wait until everything is okay before making decissions. I don't actually have those coins but if will do the same as what I've said above just to be safe. For me the best way is to hold it because it is just a free coin it doesn't matter if it's price will go down just think of it as risky investment just wait for a timing and if you find out that you already have profit then that's the time to decide whether you are going to sell it or still hold  your free BitcoinGold. But yeah it's all up to you.

I have a few Bitcoin Gold, I should get more Bitcoin Gold when the distribution round begins. I am just keeping the coins stored till it costs more Bitcoin for them.

All people are just selling once they get these coins. And the price is the vivid example of it

I'm looking to invest my BTG's in ICO's.  It's basically playing with house money, might as well try going for the moon.

Probably do the same once the hard fork hits!  My goal is to triple my gains by end of year Wink

If anyone has suggestions, let me know!

I was thinking the same, to invest my bitcoingold into ICO's, I haven't gotten my bitcoingold still but I am waiting on it, Bittrex is doubting about the damn coin, if I get it  I just invest it in some good ICO's, my goal is to at least double my money by end of the year, I am happy with that, trippeling my money happens in 2018, I hope the good altcoins will be on fire and giving us those nice chunks of bitcoin.

I'm hoping that companies running ICO's will take notice of this and...maybe take BTG directly.  Wouldn't that be nice...  Smiley

In my opinion and in my vision there are several ways of what you can do with Bitcoin Gold (BTG).
1. You can just hold it and wait for the best moment to sell. (if you already have it/or buy it while it is cheap). But there is a chance that you will wait too much or something else.. And then sell for a cheap. But I don't know what will be with the price of BTG in long time period.
2. Trade! But I think now is maybe a bit late. Before hard fork it was the best thing to move from altcoins to buy BTC and get free BTG and sell it. And after that immediately buy altcoins again while they are cheap.

Maybe still some of the traders in this industry, will continually buy the bitcoin Gold as well. For sure it will pump at once after a weeks so many will invest unto it just like what happened to bitcoin cash a months ago.

I see that Bitcoin gold has been traded in some exchange such as HitBTC, Bifinex, Binance,...here link: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/#markets. If you don't want to hold Bitcoin gold, you can trade it now.

Temporary forum vacation
I have not done anything with mine. I am SO glad I did not sell my huge bags of alts just to get BTC for the free coins. I would never have got them transferred in time to exchanges, by the time I did, I would have sold for perhaps 4% of BTC price at best? On the other hands, my alts have recovered more than that value, and I did not have to face the hassle.

I still have about 100,000 BTG waiting to be moved. That is something like 3xxx satoshi now,,,
