Unless Litecoin devs step up and develop it in to a coin that brings some good features to the table it has no chance against the 2.0 cryptos.

Litecoin will still have a high inflation rate for another 1.5 - 2 years, after that it may experience an April 2013 like bubble due to halving.

I used to have high hope in ltc, have been disappointed since coble Lee left core dev team.

Warren doesn't seem to have much interest in improving Litecoin, he's more interested in becoming a bitcoin dev. No innovation coming out, many missed oppertunities.

I'm pretty much sure that litecoin has nothing to give more than other alt-coins to the crypto-currency future scenario.

Doge, a PoS-coin or other currencies have much more reasons to gain the first place among altcoins.

Hope you there?  Grin

Bro, Litecoin is a beautiful money, but development staff is very awful. They don't know what does it mean marketing !

Only people that is a very good developer is Charles Lee !

So, don't hope, Litecoin one day will drop down.

I think litecoin's spot as the Number 1 Alt could come under threat
Sorta been unable to carve out a distinctive identity for itself as something more than bitcoin-lite

I think alts will have a significant place in the future economy, but I think in the near future the focus has all gone to Bitcoin. Once Bitcoin has become mainstream it will pave the way for a significant number of alts to go mainstream also.

Litecoin is the "largest" alt-coin and has some small momentum left, but will it succeed? It's touted as the "silver" to Bitcoin's "gold" which certainly seems realistic with the current price difference compared to the tangible metals. But Litecoin also has very little to offer as an alternative except faster transaction times. Especialy now that it can be mined with ASICs. Psychology plays a lot into adoption though and the gold/silver thing has a significant draw to it so we'll have to wait and see. For now I think Bitcoin's a much more of a "sure thing" - though having a little something in some alts could be a good idea just to round things out.
