Isn't this type of volatility just normal? Well it is Bitcoin after all. That rise will just fall again after a few hours or days. Nothing is so surprising with this price increase. It would be a great deal for me if Bitcoin achieves a new all time high or drops lower than 1500 USD. That would indicate that something just came up.

I think the movement of the price is normal movement of the price and they are just actually investing more bitcoin before august 1 because they believe that the price of bitcoin will be increase fast soon. after august 1..
The price right now is nearly $2800 and hope that we will see more price increase sooner..

I think the increase in bitcoin prices is now fair if in question and the increase in bitcoin prices is now not just the usual fluctuations as it is going on to segwit2x, and if the current price at $2700 - $2800 will survive until 1 August, i think it will bring good news if segwit2x already successfully applied on bitcoin. correct?

Optimistic prediction, but how price moves in last couple weeks its possible to happen. Price first dropped under 2000$ and in just one day price get back to +2500$. Now this 100 $ in just half and hour, for 4 days its very easy to see +3000$.

Yes! Not just that people are keeping bitcoins, they are selling altcoins, at poloniex all altcoins are going down, back for bitcoins, and probably buying more bitcoins to have more in wallets if hard fork occurs. But will it happen? Looks like nobody knows what will happen in next few days, it will be mystery until 1 August.

Theory: People wisely want to move their funds off exchanges. For quite a lot it is much easier faster or safer or better (e.g. taxwise) to move BTC. So they convert the fiat they have sitting on exchanges driving up the price.

I really can not understand the change of bitcoin at this moment, it is so unusual, it has changed so suddenly, it makes me feel nervous. Maybe I should keep it.

its good to bitcoin price is increase more and more and now reach $26xx and soon will break the barrier $27xx. I see in the market, the price move so fast and every walls is eat by more traders. I think they don't want to get the right time buy and sell because bitcoin is ready to take off into the high price.

Im starting to pick up on this. Almost Every time the price goes up really fast out of nowhere it drops back down with a vengeance. I have no clue where it's about to go from here, but my money is on it going back down.

At any rate it would be a good idea to hold onto what you have and continue to buy. I really like what I am seeing about BTC becoming more accepted worldwide. It is only a matter of time now before it goes mainstream.

It's a roller coaster for all of us, last week it is going down now it is up again, it's very volatile we will only see the price getting stabilize after August 1. Those who bought the price last week at a price that is much lower are in good profit now.

I think that the price of Bitcoin is constantly changing due to the oncoming August 1 update. Many users of Bitcoin are unsure and/or afraid of what is going to happen and as a result the market is constantly changing to a certain trend: hold or sell. Also, many people are trying to manipulate the market thorough FUD and various other methods. More and more methods are being employed to scare the average users to bring the prices down lower for investors to buy up at a low price.

I still highly recommend holding onto your Bitcoins and not selling at this stage. I think the price will rapidly climb in the weeks/ months after August 1.
