Thats great to see that miners DO care now, nobody would like Bitcoin to fail in price as they earn from mining. Honestly I am not the supporter for SegWit not BU but something has to be done. If the succeeded to implement it before UASF we will see the upward trend instead of downward one which is great. Let's just hold our Bitcoins and see what will happen at end I am fairly positive that they will activate SegWit through Segwit2x!

SegWit is a way to go. With 80% support, we are quite near to its implementation. At present saying anything about the price of bitcoin after 1st August will be mere a guess. But I believe that price will rather increase. I am quite curious to know what gonna happen in August.

We finally will get SegWit! One of the most important upgrades to the Bitcoin protocol. With SegWit comes Schnorr Sigs, MAST and Lightning implementations! This is awesome!
In terms of the planned hardfork 3 months later by Jihad I don't give a damn! I will definitely not run their client!

segwit will be activated at that point, i suspect the value will increase, there is a very tiny chance that it will tank, and i see no reason really why this should happen....

probably higher, it's not different than when everyone was predicting that after the halving the price would be higher, and in fact we had a better value

some prediction are really easy to spot, this is one of those, the value now already climbed back to the previou point, investors aren't stupid

for sure!!! But this is a valid rule for every day and for every stocks.
and for sure this is a valid rule for bitcoin.
But no one can forecast if after fork, bitcoin value will rise or fall

That the majority of miners should go for SegWit and if not that happen, the block chain will split into two.
And if this will happen, there's a threat in our funds like it could somehow lose. So we better have a back up.

Actually price of bitcoins are rising for now and provably this is due to speculation on what will happen on the said date and hopefully we can see better news after segwit will be implemented for now to bitcoins. And I truly hope that theirs no dissapointment events will be happens so that we will not lose our bankrolls for believing on this event.

If chain splits it will be a disaster and many people will want to get out. But for the long run you and all of us shouldn't be worried, why? Because if everything sorts good at end ,which will I am an optimist, price will reach new ATHs because it will get an upgrade which will enable ,us the users to send transaction less cheaper and confirmation times will be just amazing , there probably won't be a need for waiting a day for a confirmation in case of low fee.

Apparently nothing will happen on August 1st, 2017 if SegWitX2 happened. It is getting more than 78.5% (at the moment) of blocks mined today, which means it is really going to be implemented. This is Bitmain's backup plan after hard forking the blockchain, but it's a consensus that both sides would agree on.

A lot of news that can be predicted. I'm not sure what happened on the 1st of August. The price may go up and could go down. Everything is not predictable easily, because everything can happen quickly. Some say there will be bad news and some say that August 1, 2017 australia will begin to adopt bitcoin.

On august 1st there are rumours australia is also going to adopt bitcoin like how japan had done earlier and there are so many rumours around but this one seems a solid one. On price if this is going to happen we can see a long term affect like we saw after few weeks Japan's adoption

I don't think this will ever push though. This soft fork they are talking about requires a lot of support before it happens and I don't think it has enough to push through. This is a threat to the status quo and this will not fly that easily unless it is so compelling to join such a movement.
