Used to mine Litecoin on ASIC. Frankly, the yield per day did not exceed 12 $, and taking into account the cost of electricity -  8 $, not thick!
Now I'm thinking about the mastenodes, i've been watching the news about them for a while now. I'm trying to choose from three: GoByte, Zest and LUX.

Still, I'm looking towards the first coin - it's too tempting to hear the latest news about the decline in the cost of the transaction and the increase in profits for the owners of masternodes, which is not the case with other coins - they promise 70% of the award against 30% to the miners. It sounds attractive, and GoByte is not just another scam project - they've already collected the funds and the product is working. Guys, I need you help! Which coin would you prefer from these three and why?

Ethereum, ZCash, Monero, Ripple, Litecoin – these are the most popular ones. Their market share might not be as large as Bitcoin’s, but they offer interesting and useful features, such as increased privacy, anonymity, ease of transaction or even the ability to create your own cryptocurrencies on the main blockchain, as is the case of Ethereum.

I think alcoin is good, both in terms of price and popularity. Alcoin is also used by many people and can be accepted by many people. But in this investment like the others can rise and fall quickly so that we can invest to make profits but also can be risky. We must be smart, alert, and careful with this situation.

first it needs to be clarified what gear you have (amd/nvidia/asics/all of theese), and what strategy you have with mined coins. Then pick up algo which suits you best, explore and study coins based on it, and go ahead!
if you are gpu miner, and want asic-proof coin: find RyoCurrency - you'll like the idea, community and tech behind it.

Good afternoon. As it seems to me, for a beginner, all the same it's better than bitcoin is not. Though, opinions are very much divided.

After the removal of the "Difficulty Bomb" from the Ethereum Classic protocol as it was the original reasoning of forcing the switch to a PoS algorithm in Ethereum, is anyone thinking of taking up Ethereum Classic mining as a long term option for profit or are there more issues of sustainability to come in the future?

Electronium, zcoin, ellaism, exp. It also depends on the type of GPUs you have? Nvidea and AMD seem to favor different ones.

Check out www.whattomine.com and look at what is the most profitable to mine for you if you want to cash out daily. And if you want to mine and hold the coins for a long time then you will have to do your research and check which coins could increase in price in the future. Personally I am mining UBIQ right now.

I think the better option to start is GPU mining rather than plug and play with Asic miner. With GPU mining, at the starting, you could consider how to build a basic rig with common 6 GPUs for mining ETH (I think there're many resources for your references). When you're getting more experiences, you could come up with more GPUs rig, also some other altcoins as well. Learning process in building rig is quite funny.

Before starting the Altcoin mine. You must understand GPU Types, Like AMD or NVIDIA Card. Because of both GPU series have little Different in work to be mining. some AMD Cards is very good if play in ETHASH and some NVIDIA Card is very good if played in Equihash.
Actually, if you give a little time to read in this forum thread. You will find the same topic plus you get the solution.

Hey guy. Don't throw stones at me for my stupid questions. I'm a newbie , I'd like to start with mining . Since I haven't yet figured out what coin to choose I'd like to hear your advices. Also what to use GPU or CPU is more profitable.
GPU of course is more profitable. But you can use both in some of rig's setup for maximum efficiency. For instance, with AMD Ryzen CPU you can mine Monero.
Thank you very much!

If you have Nvidia graphic cards try Bitcore (BTX), which is pretty awesome, already worth the minning time + difficulty pretty acceptable now... and you can have free airdrop multiplying your balacne by 5% every monday!

I also began to understand nothing, I advise you to start trying to mine the ETC, you will understand what is general mining, and the coin has a huge future.
In the meantime, the classic will understand what's what.
It is most profitable to mine promising coins at the stage of launching, when no one knows anything about them, but you need to look for tutu yourself, nobody will help to not worsen your profit Smiley

For a beginner, Litecoin is the deal at the moment. I am also working towards mining LTC as well.
