The OP has not responded - I just checked, probably because the thread was created in November 2017.

Ah well...
An open discussion is just meant ONLY for the person who asked it. There are 100s of newbies here and they do get bitcoins from faucet to signature/social media campaigns and when they look for encashing their bitcoins, why not this topic will serve its purposes?

(OP's last activity was on August 21, 2018. If you might have checked that then probably you never needed to write 2 posts here Grin).

Yeah, the technicality involved with going further would both increase the cost and also sometimes doesn't worth it neither. I would prefer coinbase as well if I was in USA, thankfully there is better options here in my nation, yet that doesn't change the fact that even tho Coinbase has a steep cost, it is still making things incredibly easy for you as well.

You send money via bank transfer, have the money in your coinbase account, buy bitcoin with it, do whatever you want in between, then when you want to sell your bitcoins and get dollars on your coinbase account, transfer it back to your bank account and everything will be there. This may sound easy but it is insanely difficult to build a business like that, so their costs justify the expense for the users.

You can convert your crypto to fiat using Taps crypto banking and trading app. They are really easy to use, and they have a cold storage wallet. So, whether its crypto or fiat, your assets will be super safe! Smiley

I currently know Coins.ph and Paypal. but I recommend against trading on Paypal, because it's very legal, especially the US and some countries have laws that prohibit crypto trading. I have tried Paypal trading and my money has been blocked and notified that I am dealing with digital assets. After that, it took me 2 weeks to get my money back. so I encourage you to use Coins.ph and some reputable P2P trading platforms. such as Huobi Global OTC, Okex OTC, Binance OTC.

When you look for an information regarding fiat then you must include your fiat name or at least your country name because all fiats are not same and all the exchanges which are dealing with fiat may not be serving your country/fiat. I guess localbitcoin is available for each and every country hence you may find your easiest yet reasonably safer trade through localbitcoin exchange.

After localbitcoins, I am using binance for converting my cryptos into fiat (yes not just bitcoins, now a days I have options to trade most altcoins for my local fiat). But, I had to clear their all KYC norms before enabling myself for trading/withdrawing fiats there.
Among the most popular exchanges come the yobit that leads in 2019.  Many cryptocurrency users trust it due to the nature of security it offers. It is very suitable for the beginners also because it does not require tuff techniques. You can simply use it for making exchanges. It offers you a multi signature wallet that never let you lose your control over Bitcoin. Beside simple it offers a very fast process.

Yobit is one of the best exchanges today because the fastest transactions they have but I think it is not suitable for converting into fiat but it is good for exchange. It is like having a bitcoin and do you want to exchange immediately you can use yobit but in transferring your funds into bank still you need to have a wallet that supports the use of cryptocurrency and bank accounts because there are few banks now supports the crypto.

This is very risky on your part and I suggest you use a peer-to-peer exchange. As much as possible dont use this payment processor "Paypal" in receiving your fiat because that might have a problem in the future because a transaction might be reversed, unless if you know who is your deal with and trusted enough. If you have time kindly check the signature that I wore, for more info. you can read the FAQ it here. https://www.bestchange.com/faq.html. (be advised that you should have further your own research, this is not financial advice)

I think every country has a broker or exchanger who mediates to sell bitcoin to FIAT and FIAT can be withdrawn to banks. it's just that each country has a different broker or exchanger, I think this is your challenge to find out about this, maybe you accidentally missed it.

"Depends on your nation" will always be the answer for this, never changes because its the truth and the fact. You can live in China and Coinbase would be useless to you, whereas you can live in USA and a cyrpus one will be worthless to you.

There are plenty of local exchanges that people can use in their own nation without any hurdles of going through wiring or even using swift, like literally an exchange that has a deal with your bank and you can use it to just transfer money from the exchange to your bank account directly without anything with a minimal transfer fee. If you cold share which country you are from we can give you a better answer because we can at least tell you the best exchanges in that nation that deals with fiat to bank account transfers.

I don't need intermediaries to convert my bitcoins into fiat money. Currently, we can still trade P2P with many people to receive fiat money on Huobi OTC. You get a fair price and a lot better for intermediaries. For big countries like China, USA, Canada, Russia there are many traders there so you don't have to worry about volume. I tried trading there and it was quick and cheap. You can try to create an account and trade there.

Are you dumb? The @OP was asking for a platform to sell his bitcoins for fiat and get the money via bank transfer. And you're stupid enough to suggest Binance. He wanted BANK TRANSFER!
Did you notice the man had this question 2 years ago? And you come in 2020 to make dumb suggestions, to someone who stopped to use the forum

For us we used hitbtc and then transfer all our bitcoin to coins.ph and change to our own currency  and after this forward  all my fiat to  my own  mother bank for withdraw or saving purposes, this kind of chain is what i've always done if i need to change my bitcoin into fiat money.so why you should dont try this,in your own but  i thinks  in your own country should  you convert your bitcoin to dollar and maybe hitbtc would fit that kind of  transaction.

Why in the name of god would you do this?

So you had fiat > wire to hitbtc (fees) > bought coins (trading fees) > get coins to coin.ph (tx fees), > exchange to fiat and sent to your bank account (fees).
Why didn't you wire the money directly to your bank account?

As for OP, he should really provide more information, most important where is he from.
But either way, my only choices would probably be Coinbase and Bitstamp.

Bitstamp.net is a reliable cryptocurrency exchange, it is one of the oldest exchange in market.
As compared to coinbase, bitstamp gives smooth support to its customers while coinbase is frustrating in support matter.
Bitstamp also trades on low fees than coinbase but for large volume trades, you would need Kyc.

Have you tried Coinbase.com? It's also a good exchange that you can use to sell your Bitcoin for fiat. almost people are using it to buy Bitcoin via credit card or sell Bitcoin for fiat. But unfortunately it's not available all over the world, you can try it if it's available in your country. Beside you can sell your Bitcoin for fiat directly for a lot of member in this forum but don't forget to use escrow for your deal.

Coinbase is pretty steep imho, I would stay away from it for now. There are some ridiculous fees for coinbase and it seems like they don't care about their users too much. If you explore these forums a little more, you'll see that not many people actually use coinbase as their wallets either. I would have suggested it for just purchasing bitcoin, but since the fees are so steep, it doesn't have my approval. OP, you could try out localbitcoins and see if anything comes up in your area.
