Bitcoin, bitcoin and a lot of bitcoins..lol. But if it's left to me, I certainly would keep more of bitcoin and a few bunches of other top altcoins. This is certainly because, whenever the market looks down, bitcoin and these top altcoins would surely remain.
Bitcoin must become a secondary choice. Big cap makes it less attractive to be used as investment unlike another coins in the market. BNB seems to be the best choice in this case. Going to all to the top coins will not give you bunch of profict.
I thinkthat amounts that will be invested in the big cap coins must be equal with amounts that invested in the small coins. This will make his perfolio can sustain and give more benefits rather than only focusing all in the big cap coins that can increase in long-term or yearly basis.

I agree with you on this, big cap coins like the likes of bitcoin, eth, even bnb could take year's for someone to yield substantial profit but they're still the safest one can comfortably and boldly invest into. However, there are bunch of recently added good projects out there, one just got to do his/her research well.

If I have 30k at hand right now I will just buy Bitcoin and Ethereum with the money, since the amount is big then it's easier for me to earn over 100,000$ in 2024 or 2025, I don't have such money, I can only afford 200$ investment per projects so I choose altcoins instead, this is the only way I can maximise my gain.

I WANTED EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY IN LIFE
It is better to invest in the more fundamentally strong project which can sustain itself in the Bearish market and remember only a strong Fundamental project can survive for long other are just hype
Well my Portfolio if you ask my with 30k$ fund that's a lot of fund personally
For short term You can also invest in some of the Hyped Meme Coin that can give you a good % of returns
But for long term
I will pick 10%Matic,  5%Shiba,  20%Avax  ,10%kcs, 5% FilCoin and remaining % i will try to Pick all the Centralised Exchange coin

Long term project definitely may take time in Starting you may get loss but it is better to patience and hold don't Invest you whole money Try to do Sip each month to get best possible results and best place to hold is to hold on Decenterlized private wallet

So, do you think that the investment in small coins can generate big profits for you, but they can also cause you to lose your money if you are not careful enough with your investments? On the other hand, if you invest in Bitcoin and large cap coins, this won't happen to you.

Everything has its price, if you want to be safe, you should accept low-interest investments, if you want big profits, you must know how to accept risks. Nothing is 100% perfect

I think it is the other way around, when you are building a portfolio the first assets that you add should always be the most solid ones you can buy, and since there is not a coin that is more solid than bitcoin then there is no doubt in my mind that a great deal of your money should go to bitcoin, on the next step you can invest in good altcoins, like ethereum or the binance coin, and then you can finally invest in high risk altcoins if you want to try to increase a little bit the performance of your portfolio.

Hey guys, just wanna ask, what do you think is the best crypto portfolio for a $30k fund?

Cheers!

$30k is quite a large amount of money. Considering the current situation, I see no better option than buying Bitcoin. A person who has the money to invest this amount must keep an eye on the market to get an idea of which would be a better option. With the volatile market conditions right now, showing interest in other altcoins can be a bad decision. So I would say be patient and understand what the next trend of the market may be and invest later.

Hey guys, just wanna ask, what do you think is the best crypto portfolio for a $30k fund?

You need to consider three factors for that.

1. Investment
2. Risk
3. Time

In this case, I divided my investment to below categories. I am starting  from investment.

Category A = 0 -100 $
Category B=  101 -1000 $
Category C=  1001-5000$
Category D = 5000$ +

So you owned to category D now.(because of 30000$)

Then you have to consider how much risk(R) you need to take.

No risk = 0-15% = if you select this category you can do some saving and staking. Also only major coins only(Like BTC and ETH)
Low Risk = 15-35% = If you select this category, then you can select top tier coins (Eg : Link , DOT , BNB)
Medium risk = 35-75% = You can select top 5 alt coins
High risk = 75 -100% = You can select basket of alt coins and investing new projects.

After selecting the investment and risk, then you have to consider your time(T) per week as well

Time A = 20 hours
Time B = 40 hours
Time C = 80 hours

After considering all above factors, you can create a plan and a portfolio as well.

30k capital is not a small amount, I would recommend investing in bitcoin rather than altcoins today. The bear market is not over yet and bitcoin may continue to fall even further, once bitcoin drops in price, altcoins will plummet to a level we cannot even imagine.

You should split your capital like you buy 50% for 20k$ and if it continues to drop below 17k you will buy another 25%, the rest if bitcoin is still falling then keep buying. If bitcoin reverses to the upside, you should take partial profits and wait to buy it back at a better price. I believe the bear market will continue.

Bitcoin definitely and you may add BNB. Because we know CZ, he always tries to pump his native coins anyway. And most of the tokens now deploying on Binance smart chain due to the low gas fee. So use cases have been increasing. ETH gas price is too high compared with BNB. However, it's your funds and you are the one who can decide. Just sharing our ideas.
I don't think CZ is pumping the coin. That can sound awkward. When you say that, it was like you're saying that bnb is a pump and dump kind of coin. Bnb has a great utility and I think it also has a burning mechanism, which greatly lessens the supply of bnb over time, making the coin's value increase. Those are the ones that gives price to bnb.

Eth on the other hand is also a good coin aside from bnb and it will become better with its upcoming eth 2.0/merge. If ever the fees normalize in eth, I think there will still be a demand for bnb so I will still allocate more for it but let us not forget bitcoin of course. Maybe OP can put 50% in btc while 30% in bnb and then 20% in eth.

If I were you and had $30k in cash, I would allocate a large amount of money to invest in bitcoin, maybe half or more of that amount. I'll pick ethereum, bnb, ada, and a few other coins for the rest of the coins and hold them until the altcoin season returns.

By investing in bitcoin, say as much as $15k, I will have the opportunity to make a big profit because with $15k, I can earn around 0.4 btc or more. And when the bitcoin price starts to rally again, I will make a profit of over $15k.
If you aim for maximum profits, then always put the highest allocation for bitcoin. Let’s say $15k or $20k will give high returns already as bitcoin is proven the most profitable source of profits in the market. And diversify your portfolio with ethereum, ADA, and some of the stablecoins you know because they can also be profitable at times when bitcoin is not in its highest performance.

best kritpo only on bitcoin and ethereum in my view. if you choose to invest in other coins it has a big risk, for a fund of $30k it is big enough to buy a cheap coin. but the risk in trading is always there, we just need to be ready with all the risks and analytical knowledge that must be prepared in order to manage it properly.
those two coins are definitely good. for people who want to invest with big expectations they are ready to accept the risks that occur. Of course, many people expect big profits like myself but it's not easy to go through, everything must be researched before investing. if i have money 30,000$ for sure i will buy bitcoin, eth, bnb, avax, solana coins with top rank for sure in future

Clearly not conservative. Too little money to buy projects that have been on the market for a long time and that have already grown by thousands of percent, so you should not expect strong profits from such projects with such a budget. With such an amount, it is better to balance your portfolio in such a way that you have some projects that came out relatively recently, and some projects from long-established coins that have lost a lot in value. They will rise again in the near future.

It's worth understanding what you want out of your portfolio. If you want to keep its value in time, then buy bitcoin, ETH and some more similar projects and hold it for several years. But if you want to make good profit with this portfolio, then you should look at young projects and diversify them with projects which have been on the market for a long time.

A few months ago, I'd recommend your 3k fund to ETH @800-1000 dollars. Enough for 32 ETH to set up a PoS node and hold ETH for the long term. Now, 32 ETH cost more than that @1600 dollars. BNB could be a good alternative since they are backed by Binance. You can put half of your fund in it for staking reward and hold BNB for 1 year. Another half, just keep it ready for any good chance of coins going to dip in the market. Look for anything that has the smart contract layer.
Ethereum best alternatives option for short term trading or as long term investment, I think if he used all his fund $30,000 for investing with ethereum last months when price still drop on $1,000 he got almost 100% profitable, last several weeks ethereum price success break out above $2,000 before today drop back under $1,700. I think still not late for investing and trading with ethereum altcoin and $30,000 is bigger fund for trading or investing capital. Another option investing with $30,000 on BNB coin, I think most profitable when have new launchpad actually will make BNB raise to higher price again.

Honesty will go a long way!!
30k is a big amount. And based on that I think it is not to invest on any one coin. According to me invest in 4 areas :
Invest 40% BTC, 20% Ethereum, 10% BNB, and 30% other altcoins. If you do it this way, you can expect that you will never lose, but profit 100% in sha Allah.

$30000 of course that amount of funds is very good for buying low satoshi,
it is a little risky but the profit ratio is much higher than buying big caps coins like Ethereum, Matic or Cardano,
and my advice is CFX, well! Conflux is very fundamental, there's no doubt, try to check on their github,
yes one of the projects with the most updates on github!, so good luck

BTC and ETH , and that's it
$30k is not a small amount, you can get more than 1BTC.
Investing in BTC will never make you lost moroever if you are investing for long term investment. If I were you, I will buy 1BTC. And let the least to buy altcoins. 50% of the least for Ethereum, and others for BNB and SOL. I love those altcoins because I think that they are very potential compared to any other cryptocurrencies. But, this is only an opinion, it is better for you to think more and cosnider what best and most suitable for you, related to your investment target.

Yes currently BTC at priced at the best rate.
So if OP make his mind to buy BTC in a whole, then definitely he will make ample of profits in a short period of time after the bear market gets over.
Moreover ETH is not a bad deal, if you thinking of holding something else other than BTC. Eth’s marketcap is also big, so definitely the price of ETH will also increase.
So at last it’s OP’s decision to what to do with his funds. We can just wish him good luck with his asset.

ETH, BNB, and BTC should definitely be on the list as it will really give you profit in the long run. It just depends on you how much you are going to allocate on those crypto as each of them has different possible returns in the future. For other altcoins, SOL and MATIC is a good choice for me as those tokens have their own blockchains that uses low-fees and quite popular in the world of NFTs and web3 stuffs.
